Big Star Pizza — Restaurant in Copley Township

First time getting food here. Got a couple pizzas for carry out and they were really good. The New York thin style was definitely my favorite. I'd give it an 8.7. Light crispy crust and the sauce...the sauce was on another level. I could drink that stuff straight. Perfect amount of cheese and pepperoni. Also got a Chicago deep dish and it was just fine,a reasonable 7. It was maybe a little overcooked but nothing that bothered me. They were really busy so I won't that against them. The family that runs the place are fantastic. As busy as they were, they still talked to the customers and were making funny jokes. I will definitely be coming back. Next time I have to try the pasta. If that sauce is as good as the pizza sauce, I'll be in...

This shop, because of the family who takes care of everyone, makes it one of a kind. It's darn near impossible anymore to find a slice shop outside of Sbarro at a mall, so I think that gives it an edge over every other pizza shop. Each and every New York-style pizza is hand tossed before your eyes, literally in front of you. The ingredients are top notch, a fantastic mix of American and traditional Italian options. I have been going here for years, often making the trip from my home in North Canton because incredible things are hard to come by - we are lucky enough to have such a thing in Copley, Ohio. Discovered this place a couple months ago. Have ordered the NY Style a handful of times now, and it’s been perfect every time. Drive from Highland Square in Akron for this pie. Thin, crispy, the perfect sauce to cheese ratio. Great homemade dough. Big Star is doing things right. Hard to eat anything else after having this.
