For the past three years living in the Gables, I’ve heard countless tales of a beloved restaurant on the golf course with incredible food and an inviting, down-to-earth vibe… once known as “Burger Bob’s.” Now, with its grand reopening as Birdie Bistro, I’m thrilled to report that the magic hasn’t gone anywhere.

The anticipation surrounding its return was electric, fueled by heartwarming stories of the owners’ dedication to their community and the fight to preserve this local gem against commercial redevelopment. And let me tell you, the wait was worth it.

Birdie Bistro is the reincarnation of one of the most loved restaurants in Miami for almost the last three decades, Burger Bob’s. That was a breakfast/lunch diner on the Granada Golf Course, with a loyal clientele and excellent food, that sadly closed in 2021 due to some Coral Gables issues.

Rita, the owner, fought hard to create a new space and Birdie Bistro is truly a masterpiece. Affordable breakfasts, tasty lunches and a varied menu with a gorgeous view of the Granada Golf Course, all in a brand new space where the original once stood!

I know this review sounds like the owner/employee wrote it, but I’m just one of those loyal patrons of the original that is overjoyed with the new Birdie Bistro. A very well deserved 5...

We had an absolute wonderful time. We were a group of about 15 guys from a bachelor party. All coming from different parts of the US. The staff made us feel right at home and even the customers were warm in their welcoming.

The service & food was incredible. Servers were extremely nice and attentive. Again, making us feel very welcomed. Everyone individually had positive things to say about their experience.
