Cordele Recreation Parlor — Restaurant in Cordele

Very disappointed tonight. We were greated by a nice young man. Went to sit down evey table was dirty. There were 2 girls sitting at the end of the bar gossiping. Stood by one for several minutes and had to ask if they could wipe a table off since they were all dirty. The pregnant girl came over and wiped the table off. DID NOT bother to wipe off any of the other tables. She went right back to the other girl and sat down and continued talking until the other girl left work at 5:45. Now it's been 10 minutes and they have not started cooking our food. Another girl came in and ordered a now the pregnant girl started cooking our hamburgers and gossiping with the other girl. While gossiping our hamburgers were burnt to hockey pucks. The chili cheese fries tasted burnt. A waste of $42.00. As we left they were gossiping with the girl at the bar never acknowledged that we were leaving. So sad we have been going here for years today was...

What was once a greatly loved Cordele institution has now sadly deteriorated over the years, it's once former glory just a nostalgic memory for those who patronised as children.

Where once the much praised chili-dogs were the tastiest savoury snack in town today's chili-dogs are a much blander affairs. If you like a little heat in your chilli I would recommend making your own at home.

The customer service has also deteriorated too. The employees and employer are a surly lot. I not sure if I offended them with my custom or whether that's just their natural disposition but I didn't feel at all welcome whilst sat at the bar eating a dog and drinking a Bud Light.

I'm not here to run the place down though. The food is adequate and the pricing is competitive. It's just sadly not the same experience...

This place is not what it used to be. The food lacks taste,the chili doesn’t taste like it use to back in the day, they stop serving crinkle fries, the service was super slow, prices are through the roof and on top of that they want a tip for doing their jobs of making a to go order. This legendary taste and service of this place died long ago. How do you explain price gouging your customer? Everyone needs to look at your old prices and look at the new ones so see the price changes….don’t try to blame the economy, it’s the owners fault for being greedy!

In response to the management’s comments. How can you explain the taste of the food being so poor now? Did the high prices impact that also? You should have left it in the ashes instead of running it...
