I stopped at hometown Pizza to grab something quick so I decided to go with a sandwich. While walking in I spotted the guy hitting a vape. I figured no big deal. I didn't see who put my meat on the grill but the same guy that was hitting the vape went to the register to cash this lady out meaning he touched her money. I went and held the door for her as I'm walking back in the same guy is now scratching his head with one hand and his other hand is in his pants. Afterwards, he took his FINGERS and flipped my meat over. Then took my bread from the oven and again used his fingers to take the meat off of the grill. After witnessing that I cancelled my order! And I also learned that the guy who was handling my food was also a manager!! Monday morning I called and asked to speak with a supervisor. When he got on the phone I gave him my name, number and told him that he could give me a call back because I understood it was lunchtime. He asked me what was going on so I told him about my experience. The guy told me to hold and he put someone else on the phone!    Read moreI just want to mention Hometown Pizza at 2003 E Shiloh Road. They went above and beyond in their customer service department today. Way beyond. They went so far as to touch my heart strings.
We were trying to cash a check to get dinner, as we had run out of cash the day before payday as sometimes happens. We had called them on the phone to ask about it and we were disappointed as we had already tried to cash the check several places without any luck. We were driving home defeated and determined to just make it through with whatever we could find.
A few minutes later we received a phone call back from the owner. I don't know if she recognized us as regular customers or what but she told us not to worry about the money she wanted to feed us. Of course we are going to pay her when we cash the check but what a wonderful gesture! Faith in humanity restored!!
Please give these people your business. They are awesome. They really brought some sunshine back into my heart today.

   Read moreI ordered my pizza at 6:00pm (est delivery time 7:06pm); I did not receive my order until 8:30pm. I called prior to delivery to inquire what the issue was, or if my order has been prepared because if it hadn't I was going to cancel it. The manager told me that "they got slammed" and that it was on the way. The young man showed up 30 min later with my order; and it was COMPLETELY COLD! They knew it was cold before it was delivered; and had the nerve enough to put it in a hot delivery bag. No one called to advise of the wait; or to give another option.
