First time in Saturday...after getting multiple suggestions from acquaintances to go try-- I'll admit that the Exterior lackluster curb appeal had me second guessing... but at 4pm when they opened-- i was among 30+ people crowding in to what i was told was only a 30 seat Cafe...True...the front dining room was about 30 seats...but the call-in Reservation Dining Room was equally as large-- Enough said...The Menu is pretty extensive and moderately priced...I had the Fried Hand Battered Butterfly Shrimp w/new Potatos & Hushpuppies...She had the Grilled Butterfly Shrimp Fries & Hushpuppies-- we ordered a side of Cole Slaw also...Service was relatively quick and Wait Staff attentive-- Food came out and it was Delicious! Focusing on the positive i'd say it was thoroughly enjoyable and well worth the 60 mile ride down to Corinth, MS. The pallet of grits had a layer of cheese and a seasoned cream sauce topped with cajun shrimp. My husband ordered the fried oysters which were perfectly crispy on the outside with a juicey oyster inside. I snuck a bite of my kids fries which could rival the best burger place in town. Everything was full of flavor, our service was friendly and fast and the atmosphere was what you would expect while in the bayou. The owners obviously take pride on offering an authentic meal and atmosphere for their guests. I would highly recommend to others and we look forward...

I got a cup of gumbo, Christa’s special and a side of new potatoes. The crawfish in the gumbo were extremely fishy tasting, I’ve never seen brown étouffée like what’s on the special and the potatoes had absolutely no taste. I got home and had to add seasoning to make it anything like home. The étouffée didn’t have crawfish or shrimp in it so it was just a sauce of some sort.
