Bartels Giant Burger — Restaurant in Corning

Let me start by saying I do not like to leave bad reviews. But if your service and product warrant it, I am giving it. I thought long and hard on this one. I spent nearly $100 here in 2 days and on neither visit could they get my order right. I called the Corning location the second time because I spent $20 on a bacon cheeseburger and tots to go. I got home and cut the burger in half only to find it was no where near well done as I asked for and saw on the receipt print out. It took 1.5 min in the microwave to bring it to well done and that then ruined the burger. So I called to speak to them about this. I was there the night before with 3 of my friends. The food was good but they messed up the order not once but twice I had to go back to the counter and they were rude about it. "we didn't charge you for bacon, you will have to pay for it and wait for us to cook it" I passed. The second time I went back for a milk shake and again was told I wasn't charged for it. So I paid for it. Now mind you, I never received a receipt to verify if I had actually paid the first time when I paid $70+ tip for 4 meals. So this second night I called to complain. I waited for over 5 min. to talk to the girl while she took orders. She didn't seem concerned, didn't call her manager or take my name or anything. She started to say "well the next time you are here" and I stopped her and told her there would "BE NO NEXT TIME". I was still bothered that this "local" chain was just not caring. So I called and left a message for the owners at the new Red Bluff location. The person apologized and said she would for sure give my name and number to them to call me back. She took the time to listen but guess what? The owners NEVER called. No messages either on my phone. So I guess they just don't care. And I am not the only one posting that the Corning location can not get orders right. Its too bad because I like to support the local business owners and they do make a great burger, when they make it right. I gave you the chance and you did not care.

I decided to stop in and get a quick shake but the burgers smelled good so I thought maybe I would go for a meal. That is when I found out there were two other people a head of me. They brought it to my attention they had been waiting. I told them I was sorry and stepped to the side as there was no room for a line. The young lady with a ton of metal hanging out of her face proceeded to the orders for the other people. She stopped taking orders when I stepped up. I thought I really don't have time to wait for a burger and figured I would just get a shake after all. The young lady passed by me several times and didn't say anything. There was one lady at the frier and one lady at the grill. There were three burgers getting cooked. One would think that one of the three people behind the counter could have taken my order. I have never seen a "Fast Food" place run so poorly in my life. The service sucked. The atmosphere was not clean. I ended up leaving before my order could be taken as the time I had available to eat had run out. If I ever darken their door again I will leave if the same young lady with all the metal hanging out of her face is...

I went there on 9/29/21 in the afternoon and let me tell you. The lady wasn't rude, but you can definitely tell she didn't like being there. Very off puttish. And it cost 40 dollars for two burgers, a regular and a Giant and a shake, which would have been fine if the people gave us a Giant burger and a regular, instead they gave us two regulars, and mixed our burger order up, so we had to fix our order ourselves. And gave us the amount of fries that was less than a handful. I could put all the fries they gave us and lay it on my palm. We were the only ones there so it's not like they were busy and accidentally screwed up our order. And I know it was a small, but I've never seen a small be only 10 fries and they ONLY gave 6 tots on the other order. I mean 40 bucks for the amount of food that is smaller than you would get ANYWHERE is a total rip off. And I don't usually say that for restaurants, but having them screw up everything on our order for bite size food and charge us that much is a rip off. Extremely disappointed. They shouldn't charge that much for the amount of food they give under that price. It's literally nothing. Two...
