Rancho Grande — Restaurant in Corning

Dude lemme tell you this Mexican place is fire! It’s so sooooooooooo effin’ delicious! They make their own salsa. It’s hot just like how salsa should be. But not overpowering so all us white boys who can’t take spice/heat won’t die (if you catch my drift; figuratively not literally.)

The staff are bilingual, really nice and very knowledgeable about the entire menu. Their flan is delicious, their food items are cheap and they are incredibly accommodating to both my brother and I every time we come here (usually once to three times per year on average).

They aren’t open late but omg if you plan to visit Corning as a stop or a few days, you gotta prioritize this place above the other Mexican restaurant in town (by Safeway). Hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had north of San Francisco.

The margaritas are strong and cheap. The tortas are to die for! Can’t wait to dine here again next week when I stop in for another visit. My mouth is salivating just thinking about it....

I decided to eat here primarily because I was short on time, and it's very close to my place of employment. It was a great meal. I wasn't very hungry, and I knew I wanted rice and beans, but I thought an enchilada sounded amazing also, so I went with a children's meal, and got everything I wanted. Plus chips and salsa, all for under $9.00. The service was very friendly, and fast. They also didn't mind letting me sit at a table in the cool air, while I waited. Which by, the time I waited was such s short amount of time, I didn't even worry that I wouldn't have time to eat my meal, and return to work in time. Great food, perfect amount for a meal when your hungry but...

The service was very friendly. Very inventive idea, the menus were under a piece of clear plexiglass on the tables. Perfect for covid. I had the camerones diablas which I was told was spicy (waitress didnt know I was half mexican), it was a bit spicy and a tad sweet, the mole sauce it was slathered in- it was the best shrimp dish I ever had hands down! Perfect spicy, any more spicy would've taken away from the flavor of it all. It was so good. Go there. Try it. You will love it. Going to go again soon. Cant wait to try something...
