Walked in at almost 6pm on the dot, got a table and about 10 minutes later was told there was a 20 minute wait by our waitress, let's call her "Tammy" because I never saw her name... Twenty minutes was fine, whatever. I was in no hurry. After 30 minutes, that turned into an additional 40 minutes, according to "Tammy," and I was totally cool with just leaving but the person I was with really didn't want to leave because we were told repeatedly in this huge time span by "Tammy takes her time," that our food was on the way.... lmfao. They weren't even busy, and "Tammy" was useless because the few tables she had weren't getting any service either. Claiming she's "talking to the manager" to give us a discount for such a long wait. I will say she did keep us hydrated, we had a stack of 8 cups on the table that she didn't take on any of her numerous trips to tell us the "wait was getting longer." I was kinda upset when she did take them, I was trying to set a record for 10 cups. She gave us a $3 off coupon and said "stay quiet about this or I could lose my job...." Girl, I really don't think that coupon is what's gonna make you "lose your job" but okay... I actually laughed out loud when hearing that. It didn't even cover the price of a salad.... the newspaper has better coupons in it than what she gave us and she never brought us our food, we had to get another waitress to take our order and she had it out in 15 minutes. So tonioght i decided to eat at this restaurant, being an OTR driver, i don't get a lot of oppurtunities to eat in a sit down restaurant like this, nor do i get the chance for a steak too often.
I ordered the Tbone dinner($30) and a chef salad(10$). service was good, coffee was decent, and the salad i actually have to praise for how good it was along with the great taste of their Ranch dressing.
Where my meal fell short was the Tbone itself. i requested a medium, what i got was a steak that was rare on the bone but overly well done in the main flesh to the point it had dried considerably. I'd attribute this to too high heat, but im not here to discuss cooking methods of steak. along with how well done the steak was, I also found the general quality of it low, being far too lean and tough to scratch that steak itch i had. i am not a man who generally uses condiments on steak, but for the first time in my life, i used A1 to finish my dinner... Compared to a place such as Texas Roadhouse for example, the price was higher and the quality was far lower. While i was satisfied with the service and the salad, i still have to give this review 3* as the steak was the star of the show and it just left me overall disappointed.
Between coffee, the steak, chef salad, and a 25% tip(since the server didn't do wrong), I walked out of here with a 60$ bill and felt generally unsatisfied despite being full.
I should've ordered the burger, the ones they were serving to other customers...
Read moreI was in your establishment for dinner on Saturday evening and was extremely disappointed to see how one of your staff members was interacting with another. She had long red hair was seemingly kind until I witnessed her harass another server with an extreme lack of teamwork and I believe I even witnessed her flip her off. Being a family restaurant, we bring our children there for the good atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food. The behavior of this particular waiter ruined our experience and made me question the character of the type of people you are willing to employ. I truly believe as a manager at a restaurant myself, this one individual needs to be spoken to so that she realizes how her behaviors towards her coworkers and peers makes customers uncomfortable and question the type of service that you are providing behind closed doors. I’m sorry to write this type of review and I hope that you can identify the server that I am speaking of and that the poor the poor dirty blonde, freckled, waiter she was picking on does not have to endure this type of relationship In a work environment any longer.
