We found this place on google because it had 4.5 stars and was off the beaten path than the other restaurants on Coronado. Horrible service. First, the hostess was rude. Second, she said the wait time was 20-30min. There were plenty of open tables inside, perhaps the outside was full and they were short on servers? After watching other people being seated and waiting 35 min, I went to check on our place in line and they said “oh we can seat you now” like they forgot about us. We sat inside.
Third, after ordering, it took another 33-40 min just for the food to arrive. We ordered Raspberry Lemon Pancakes, Croque Madame, & American breakfast (sourdough toast, potatoes, 2 eggs & bacon.) They never refilled our waters, they didn’t come back after dropping the food off, my sourdough toast was burnt and dry and there was no butter or jelly offered. My son dropped his fork on the floor and had to go to another table to get a fresh one, because there wasn’t a server around to be found. The hostesses just stood in their little car/podium and were completely useless. If there are 2 of them, they should at least take turns helping the servers with extra napkins, silverware or small extras like condiments, etc. I asked the hostess for jelly and she said “I can’t help you.”
Finally, the server came over and I asked for a new unburnt toast along with butter and jelly and it took another 10 minutes for that, everyone was already done eating by the time it arrived. The kids were still hungry after splitting the pancakes (small short stack of 3) so we asked for two over medium eggs and after 20 more minutes we just said forget it and asked for the bill to leave. We left highly dissatisfied and no one cared.
The food was tasty though. The potatoes were flavorful with lots of rosemary. The pancakes were fluffy although smaller than a coffee saucer plate and the Croque Madame was delicious. The jelly that finally came was more like syrup. The price was right though. So far it looks like they haven’t gouged the prices like most restaurants in the midst of this horrible inflation season.
We most likely won’t come here again and wouldn’t...

Stopped by after our round for a brew plus... Hostess said "15 min wait". No problem. After about 10 mins gave the place a scan: 6 empty tables inside and 2 outside. "What's up?". "15 mins wait". Another 10 mins or so and "What's up?". "I'll add you to the wait list--15 mins...". Finally got a table (amongst the many open tables" and the sole waitress eventually got to us and (after quit a delay, 15 mins?) we got our order piecemeal. Food is good, service is lacking. Don't be in a hurry...

Stopped by after our round for my usual fried calamari appetizer. My golf-mate had the chilequiles with lightly poached eggs. Both were delicious, and service was superb! Give it a "Go!" when in Coronado!
Whether a golfer or not, when in Coronado, you should give Feast and Fareway a try. Situated at Coronado Municipal Golf Course, the atmosphere and views are remarkable and the food quite good. While I never seem to get past the fried calamari (an appetizer) as my main course, my golf mates tell me the steak salad, arugula salad with shrimp, burgers and fries are awesome. When my buddy asked for chimichurri sauce with his steak salad I (a cynic) said "Good luck!" but wouldn't you know it, the server said "Yes sir, coming right up!". This is a "must go" for lunch--you won't be...
Read moreI dined in to continue my San Diego brunch tour and was led here by Instagram. The food was ok the French toast was good with the ice cream however the service was really bad. We waited in the sun (which isn’t so bad I love the outdoors) for 13 minutes without service....guess it ain’t so bad but watching others being offered water and shade feels a little uncomfortable. After finally receiving service we still were never offered water. I asked for extra napkins and it took 7 minutes. I can understand being busy but that should really be kept on hand. Really just disappointed in the experience. Maybe it was a bad day, maybe the girl was overworked, maybe she thought we just loved the sun but everyone else hated it. Maybe she thought we hate water... I hope it wasn’t that we were African Americans.... because if so that’s not going to get anyone anywhere. I probably won’t be back. I would love to recommend but they might feel like me when they leave, like I just wasted a drive, my time & maybe 70 bucks for ok food but...
