Can't share much other than the food smelt great, the atmosphere was very nice, and the music made the place feel about as Italian-American as possible. That is as far as my visit went. For 20+ years I have drove past Frank's and wanted to stop, but always had people with me that had other wants. Today I finally had someone with me uthat wanted to try it as much as I did. At 1:30 we walked in the door and about 5 minutes later we got seated. The smell from the kitchen made us go over the menu 100 times changing our minds on what to order. About 10 minutes later we got to order our drinks, and by that point I knew to order Pepsi cause they do not serve coke products. It's on the menu, and I had the menu memorized by then. My friend ordered a sweet tea, and recieved an unsweet tea. It took another 5 minutes just to get someone to bring her some suger packets. While this was going on a group of 5 had came in, been seated, had their drink order taken, and their meal order taken. Another group of 2 came in and had the same done for them. At 2:00 another single lady came in, was sat down, had her drink and meal order taken immediately. At 2:15 (45 minutes after entering the restaurant) while the group of 5 was being brought their food as well as the single lady that came just 15 minutes before was being given her food me and my friend decided to leave and go somewhere that might take our order, or at least serve customers in the order they arrive. I can not say anything negative about the food. It smelled amazing. I was ready to try it, and I am sure it would have been a meal to remember. Yet, I will never know because I will shortly be leaving back to my new home state, and another trip to Corpus is not in the cards for me. It is sad that the memory of Frank's that I will be left with is what happened today. 2 stars is only due to the amazing smell of the food, and the neat decorations that gave me so many ideas for unusual uses of household items that I...

Absolutely no way this place should have such high reviews. I am generally easy on small businesses and one-off restaurants but this one deserves a FAIR review!

The server clearly cared less that we were there and failed to understand the concept of value. Hard work and good attitude brings in business and when business is good, employees are in most cases rewarded. Perhaps this is a management issue 🤔 too, likely so.

Everything that came to the table was less than minimal expectations. Sweet tea.... had no flavor, how does that happen?

Garlic bread had enough garlic to choke a magot. Not edible, not even a little.

Garden salad, was swimming in dressing. Who does that? Again, not edible.

Spaghetti meat sauce had a few crumbles of meet, not nearly enough to call it meat sauce and simply just did not taste good. The only thing on this plate that was edible was a sausage that cost $5 extra, but was not worth it.

Parmesan cheese shaker was stored in refrigerator so the cheese was hard and nearly impossible to get out of it.

Fettuchini noodles were not fully cooked, was doughy. Had $5 up-charge to put chicken on it, was overcooked and had no flavor.

Server eventually came to table well after food came out and asked how it was. I said it did not meet expectations and she said ok. Just didn't seem to care.. she disappeared for awhile.... We could not eat the food, and I had to go find the server (sitting in the back with enother emloyee folding napkins) to request our check so we can leave. 3 meals cost me $45 and we left hungry!

Will not be back..... Spend your hard earned money somewhere else, anywhere where they actually genuinely care that you chose to dine there!

Because we left there hungry we had to get food elsewhere right...

FAKE ITALIAN🇮🇹 RESTAURANT‼️NOT 1 ITALIAN IN THE BUILDING‼️NOTHING IS FRESH EVERYTHING PRECOOKED‼️NO CEASARS SALAD & BROWN LETTUCE🥬 🤮 is what they give you they also offer NO PARMESAN CHEESE & NO GOAT CHEESE as they should or at least have a bottle at the table, idk how I feel about this place I was really excited to go there and I left thinking I should have went to olive Garden 🤷‍♂️ the portions are incredibly small 🤏 & the food is PRECOOKED like the lasagna & the fettuccine‼️ it wasn't great it was missing something then I realized there was no cheese anywhere to be found, something about when they drizzle some parmesan and goat cheese on everything well not here!! Extremely greedy with there food!! the tables are to close together you literally bump elbows with people you don't know I felt like I should have ordered to go! After everything I was highly disappointed in this place it will be my 1 and only time there that's for sure I'll say it's a 1.5 OUT OF 5 ⭐ not convinced it's better than olive Garden although I haven't been to the one in corpus but the one back home in Phoenix Arizona is great you actually get your moneys worth!! Not the best Italian but it acceptable Some places here in corpus don't have the same quality idk what's going on here lol as far as Italian🇮🇹 JOHNNY CARINO'S BLOWS THIS PLACE AWAY‼️ PS: I HATE PRECOOKED FOOD and I feel bad for the people who never left corpus & think this is real Italian food 🤣😂 this place needs to get shut down 🤷‍♂️‼️‼️ PS#2: IT WAS ME THAT TOOK YOUR SALT & PEPPER SHAKERS I NEEDED SOME FOR MY CAR AND THOSE LOOKED PERFECT SIZE 🤏 LIKE YOUR PORTIONS SO I HELPED...

🍝 Frank’s Spaghetti House – A Corpus Classic 🍝 If you’re looking for old-school Italian charm in Corpus Christi, Frank’s Spaghetti House is the place to be. Tucked away in a cozy, historic house, this local gem has been serving up homemade Italian comfort food since 1947—and trust us, you can taste the tradition in every bite! We went with the Combination Plate and the classic Spaghetti with Meatballs, and both were exactly what you’d hope for from a place with this much history. The combination plate gives you a little taste of everything—lasagna, spaghetti, and a stuffed shell, all covered in rich, slow-simmered sauce. The spaghetti? Simple, hearty, and packed with flavor, with meatballs that were tender and well-seasoned. The ambiance makes the meal even better. The moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by warm lighting, checkered tablecloths, and that unmistakable aroma of garlic and simmering marinara. It’s the kind of spot where families have gathered for generations, and you can feel the nostalgia in the air. If you’re ever in Corpus and craving Italian, Frank’s is a must. Come hungry, leave happy! 🍷🍕 #CorpusChristiEats #FranksSpaghettiHouse #ItalianTradition

This is a small limited seated restaurant. The menu is very small on choices. It seemed like from other reviewers there were more options but I guess I got handed the lunch menu around 5pm? I ordered a cappuccino which comes in a big glass mug ❤️Today I decided to go with the plate that had a little bit of everything. Which came with pasta with Alfredo sauce (I added mushrooms), Lasagna, and half a Chicken Parmesan breast. For $20+ you can’t beat that. Me not really being a Alfredo fan it came out very good! The Chicken Parmesan was cooked perfectly, it was light and crispy. This dish I served with two pieces of garlic bread on the side. The only issue I had was with the lasagna. It seemed heated up which is okay but it wasn’t heated up properly. Then it barely had any flavor so it wasn’t my favorite so I’ll just skip it next time no big deal. I also placed an order for a tiramisu. It’s prepackaged which is smart but I kinda didn’t want to eat it out a plastic container. It was still good and tastes like it was made in house. Overall the experience was lovely but I hope to see more menu items soon.
