SSSLLLOOOOWWWWW 😴 service, inexperienced wait staff and hostess! We had decided to give this location a try. The decor, facilities and grounds are very nice and well kept. The flavor of the food was good. We tried the family style so we could taste various dishes. A little pricey but worth it. Although the dining area was not packed we had to wait because no one would clean the four vacant dirty tables that were inside. This seemed mismanaged and uncoordinated. The dedicated Busser would slowly walk around as if they didn’t care about customers waiting and the tables were not that clean or dry. The Hostess knew that tables needed to be clean but looked kind of lost. The Server, though friendly, was inexperienced. There was no mention of daily specials or that it was Happy Hour. No napkins were placed under glasses to prevent dripping from condensation. Plates were not removed once empty of food to make space for the next course. Generally Servers automatically bring clean plates between courses. Glasses were refilled quickly. There was no offer of dessert, I wanted to try the bread pudding. 🥺 We enjoyed the selection and quality of the family style meal. The choices of items and options of cooking style was great. Long delay before main dishes came out. Hush puppies with the meal would have been nice. The visual appeal of other plates that were brought out to tables nearby was tempting, as to say, “that looks good”. We observed guests waiting for their bill to be brought when we came in. We experienced this as well. Again poor coordination. Because of the flavor of the food we will probably return to sample other items.

Well we have been back twice to enjoy the Location. Both of those times service, food and atmosphere have been great. We were traveling with our small dog once and the Staff allowed us to sit outside and brought water and treats to our pet. This evening my husband and I enjoyed a nice dinner date at Railroad Seafood. Everything from the time we walked in the door to the end of our meal was pleasant between hosts, our waiter, and additional staff made it a great date night. The hush puppies were fresh and hot with great flavor. My husband had the catfish plate and said it was some of the best catfish he had ever had. He also really liked the cheese grits for his side. I really liked my grilled shrimp po’boy. All of our food was delicious. The happy hour prices on draft were reasonable and the atmosphere of the whole place was relaxing and a great way to end our week. Our waiter Jason was friendly and very attentive. He stayed on top of our drinks and I never once had to ask for a refill on my tea. And even offered me a to-go tea when it was time to pay our tab. He checked on us regularly, but still allowed us space to decide what we wanted to eat. His recommendation on the catfish was spot on for my husband and he politely answered all of our questions. I highly recommend Railroad Seafood on 624 and look forward to future date nights there. We are semi regular at the Railroad and every time is a great experience. Understand that i don't give 5bstars freely. I have eaten at a michelin star restaurant and this was not one. On this visit, the waiter did not know the menu so when I asked a question about a drink I regularly order he wasnt aware of the drink. We were not provided a drink menu which made it more difficult. He said he was new so I will give some allowances there.

The food was great but as usual the rice was undercooked. I don't like my rice hard at all.

We have never sat indoors here, always outside on the patio so i cant speak about the indoor atmosphere except it looked nice as I walked through it.

The patio... beautiful view of an orchard of trees, a playground for the kids, far enough away that you can barely hear the playful cries of delight, and close enough that you can see your kids clearly and get there quickly if needed. Most playgrounds are so close that you cant have a conversation over the cacophony of screams coming from the kids. Not the case here. It's very well placed.
