Nueces Cafe — Restaurant in Robstown

I was visiting Corpus this day when I stopped here. We were headed on our way out back to Houston so we needed some caffeine in our life due to what little sleep we got. I don't like Starbucks so I Googled for coffee shops in Callalan. This one seemed like it would be nice. We got lost at first because I just saw the church there and not the coffee shop. Once we found it and walked in the place I literally could feel the peace of God fall on me in there. I realized that this quaint little coffee shop was some how connected to the church next door. The workers here were super friendly and took my slightly complicated drink order well. The decor and layout of this place was so opposite of what you expect of a coffee shop but so fitting and perfect for this coffee shop. I thought it was so beautiful in there. I love how different this coffee shop is. They have a lot to offer in all their menus from hot drinks and cold drinks to lunches such as sandwiches and wraps. They have something for everyone. They also carry milk alternatives and sugar free options for your coffee and a few other drink choices. Their shop was very clean and so many smiling faces. My husband and I are excited to stop here again when we go back to visit our family in Corpus. Having peace is better than coffee. To chill here at Nueces Cafe and have good coffee and peace is an awesome luxury....

I've come here at least 3 times a month and always have had great food the atmosphere is nice however, something has changed? Last 2 times within a week I have noticed the change in ingredients? your smoothies just tastes like less is being used also wraps and salads ): not to mention the old cupcakes your selling no rotation cake and cupcakes dry and old Compared to what we are used to at your place. Your staff barely says thank you now and brings food out separately so one of us is always waiting on the others...

We are so disappointed in the customer service and the excessively long wait time for food. We waited over 50 min for a breakfast wrap and avocado toast (not a busy morning either; there were 2 people already eating when we arrived and no line when we ordered). We’ve noticed the service decline significantly in the last several months. We used to eat breakfast here every Saturday, unfortunately we probably won’t be back again. I hope things turn around for this place, it definitely use...
