The order was for 2 pastrami on rye (close to a ruben) sandwiches plus a bistro french onion soup. The food tasted good but the amount of meat less than I'm used to and there was very little dressing. I had to ask for the soup to be warmed up, it was barely warm and when the young lady brought it back out, she just dropped it (literally) and walked off.
I frequently visit Schlotzsky's as round the country and have the ap loaded on my phone so I can scan the bar code to get credit towards a free sandwich but this place didn't have the capability to print a receipt with that bar code.
Before leaving I noticed a gentleman had come in and waited patiently for a few minutes to be helped but the two ladies working there were busy talking in the back. The guy ended up walking out. The facility should install a sensor to let workers know when the door opens to make sure the customers are attended to or at least put a bell to ding at the counter to alert workers to provide assistance.
I spent almost $22 for a meal and had to go home to fix something else for my wife and I to eat because we were still hungry. Pitiful. Next time I have the desire to eat a Ruben sandwich, I will drive out of my way to find a Schlotzsky's that has better service or just find a different restaurant. Needless to say, I will not return to...
Read moreDisappointed in the service. My coworkers and I ordered at 8:15pm. The app did not allow me to order chips of choice when ordering the combo. I had to order the jalapeno chips separately to be exact. When I arrived I asked the cashier if all of the order was there and she said yes. Something told me to check the bag. I was missing my coworkers tomato basil soup. I told the worker it was missing and she stated that they didnt have tomato basil soup, so she put a baked potato soup instead. Instead of bringing that to my attention upon arrival and payment they were going to allow me to walk out with the wrong soup. They ended up giving me the soup for free, so that was nice. However, when I arrived to work I noticed that I received potato soups instead of "baked potato" soups. All 3 soups were missing the cheese, bacon, and green onion as in the description. The order had absolutely no pickle spears. The sandwiches were not cut in half as they ALWAYS are. We don't have sharp knives here at work, or else I would have cut it myself. The last time I ordered from the Alameda location they forgot an item. Next time I will be ordering from the...
Read moreThey started out good and went downhill. I always order the same turkey on jalapeno cheddar bread with avocado. The previous 3 orders were on plain bread, not jalapeno cheddar bread, even though it showed on my receipt that I had ordered it. The last time it was on the jalapeno cheddar bread but they skimped badly on avocado, lettuce, and turkey. Plus the tomato was the hard end piece. It was an awful sandwich. Update: I gave them another chance (mistake) and again it was not on the jalapeno cheddar bread that I had ordered. Plus as an extra bonus, I got food poisoning after eating it. Now I get to take a round or two of antibiotics. Thanks, Schlotzsky's! I think that was the final straw. I won't be ordering from them again and certainly won't recommend them to anyone else. I'm tired of the restaurants being totally incompetent here in Corpus Christi. I've gotten food poisoning in Corpus Christi more times than in any other city I've ever been to. The health inspector here must be as incompetent as the...
