The wife woke me up that morning and told me to "get up and get dressed I'm taking you on a date." It was before lunch but I didn't ask questions and next thing you know we ended up at the ice cream bar.. . I'll be honest , sitting there really did make me feel just a little bit younger for some reason. .. not to mention I was also eating ice cream for breakfast- the atmosphere was every bit of hornet pride and reminded me of going to buc days carnival in the early 90s.. loved it. I had a Coffee Shake which is made with fresh brewed coffee and vanilla ice cream. Theyake their own Nutella sauce which she drizzled on the inside of the cup. I love coffee and Nutella. They pair very well together. My wife a rolled ice cream with with chocolate syrup and butter finger. After tasting my Nutella sauce she had Nutella envy. My daughter had kids something with a nice topping. Later she made (on my request) a rolled coffee ice cream. She made it in front of us. We were behind 5 people finishing order , that was ok ,I ordered a pumpkin pie shake , then ran to bakery next door , came back and they were JUST STARTING my shake , my husband had ordered a 2 scoop cone , so nothing hard. My shake did taste like pumpkin pie, but it was very grainy tasting , not smooth, and very thin, not like a good thick milk shake. Considering it was over 5.00 , only Blue Bell ,that I can buy from HEB and nothing special , I will remain on my own. It is not my idea of an ice cream shop .
