Pleasant park, with unique design of RV spacing--not the usual rows I find in other parks, but lots of circles and curves. My RV space (22 ft bumper-pull trailer) was pretty narrow, but adequate, although more grass or gravel would have been a real plus. I was located in the back of the park, which was fine, except the WiFi was extremely sketchy. I reported this problem twice to the office, but the problem remained throughout my stay (I deducted one star for this). Now for the unique and noteworthy things that set this park apart: Every Wednesday a propane-dispensing truck went throughout the park, with honks to alert campers to flag it down if a propane refill was needed. This was a terrific service! I never had to disconnect and tote my canisters to the truck---the vendor took care of everything and was reasonable priced. A very nice laundry area with plenty of washers and dryers. I never had to wait to get a machine. Lovely clean swimming pool. I didn't ever sample the water for temperature, but others definitely seemed to enjoy it. Activities! Fall/winter is "the season" in Corpus as folks in colder states fill the park. I marveled at how many "Winter Texans" repeated their stay here year after year! The Park runs a pretty active calendar of activities for the enjoyment of their guests. Potluck meals, Poker, Trivial Pursuit group competitions, Chair Yoga, Line dancing classes are just some of the events that I enjoyed. What I found to be the most unique thing about this park was the level of inclusiveness. I’ve never experienced that at any other park in the 17 years I’ve worked in my travel job. There's a sense of "belonging" in the park community that was totally unique and very welcome to me. Try...
Read moreOther reviews seem accurate but I will speak to the pricing issue. Website offers discounted weekly and monthly pricing. We called ahead just before spring break asked if they had open spots for up to a month maybe longer. Only had a weekly over two hundred and made reservation stating we hope they would have something open up and they seemed like it was a possibility. Upon checking in for the week, discussion about the month stay and price caused a reaction. OH, we don't have monthly rates after November due implying they are usually full with Texas winter people. They would try to find an open spot for us after this week. Well, our daily walk around the park noticing empty spots everywhere and especially about a dozen open in one full hook up area (all grass). Monthly is around five hundred so apparently conflicting with their website, they don't offer it for about half the year AND loose revenue because of it. We moved over to Aransas Pass area about 20 miles east/south found a lot of RV Parks and most are under three hundred a month. Several other campers were planning the same move that we did. Shame on their management for not properly training their employees and/or getting the website noted with their price policies. When I called with the specific request about over a month stay, nothing was said about the no-monthly-rate policy. I HATE BEING HIJACKED UPON CHECK IN! It was all under the "we only have weekly openings" statements. In the middle of spring break and quiet and nice. We have not yet taken the ferry (free?) to the beach, Mustang Beach, where the spring breakers hit last week. We are retired from those...
Read moreOverall, this is a quiet park with full-timers being the mainstay of the place. We reserved two nights on June 4 and 5. The staff were pleasant and helpful, although they put our 30 foot 5th wheel on a rather short pad. We had to park our dually cross-wise, because there was no room for it in front of the unit. Fortunately, we could line up ok for hookup and decoupling because the site across from us was vacant. The utility access point at our pad was at the very rear of our unit. Our 25 foot fresh water hose would not reach the City Water faucet. So, we had to drive to a nearby Walmart and buy a hose that would reach. First time that has happened anywhere we've camped. So, if you stay here and the utility hookups are located forward of amidships on your unit, bring plenty of cable, hose, sewer and water hookup length. Despite the peace and quiet and the pleasantness of the staff, I would only give this place a three, because the site they put us on was swarming with fire ants. Hook up and decoupling was awful. The things were biting us constantly. Also, there are grass burrs everywhere; however there were none in the pet park, which was good. You'll just have to watch out for the grass burrs if your pets are on a leash walking. We might stay there again, because the park is very close to our surf fishing near Malaquite Beach, but I hope the park fixes their fire ant problem and considers trying to eradicate all the...
