I’ve known about Maxi Teriyaki being there for years— but I had only ever eaten when it was Maxi Burger back in the 2010’s. My fiancé and I wanted to go out, and had no idea where to go. Finding good (and consistently good, especially) Asian food in Grays Harbor can be a struggle. Maxi Teriyaki ended up popping up on my list, and after reading all these glowing reviews— we were so excited to give it a go!
The value of what you get for the prices is so well worth it, the portion sizes are wonderful! We ordered to-go, and as soon as we went inside, a very kind man in the front already had our food ready to go.
I got the Teriyaki Chicken w/ Steamed Rice, which also came in a combo with three gyoza and an egg roll. He ended up getting the Pork Fried Rice. Both were astoundingly fresh, and so so delicious! Now I can see all these reviews are correct in saying this place truly is a hidden gem— because it is!
Here’s hoping other people give it a chance as well, and get to experience this wonderful food. Thank you Maxi Teriyaki! Eating out in Grays Harbor can be a gamble sometimes, but this truly is a one of a kind place! It’s been a long time since I’ve had such a good...
Read moreAll of the Asian food places around the area suck, except for Maxi. The people who run the place are delightful, generous, and kind. They always greet everyone with a smile and the chef is adorable. My adult daughter craves their teriyaki chicken and constantly asks for it. I'm hard to please particularly when it comes to Asian food, but I've tried several dishes and sushi here, and I've not been disappointed with any. This place is definitely worth the visit. The inside isn't much to look at, but don't let that fool you. What they lack in decor they more than make up for in flavor and quality of food. You can't really say that about many places these days. Five stars all the way and we've been visiting for 4 years since we lived in the area. The quality has not changed. Edited note, they have recently changed the inside and it has much more seating and...
Read moreStopped here on a whim and was incredibly surprised how delicious the Korean tofu soup and kimchi was for a small town. The tofu in the soup was so silky smooth and the soup had so much seafood and veggies inside! The flavor of the soup was also very good and on the mild side. However, the kimchi was truly the star of the show for me. It was the perfect amount of spicy and sour. Honestly, it was better than a lot of the kimchi I’ve tried in LA. I asked the owner about it l, and he said his wife hand-makes all the kimchi! No wonder why it hits the spot! The owners were also just such nice and friendly people. You could definitely feel that they are genuine people and care a lot about their customers personally. I would 100% definitely...
