This one will take some splainin'. Let's start with historical pride. The proprietors are encyclopedically embedded in local lore. They're also eccentric as hell in the most wonderful way. Expect to get an earful of almost automatic anecdotal scripts. The restaurant is in a meticulously restored prairie house filled with articles, trinkets, and such. Apparently, there's a Kaw pictograph scratched into the doorframe. It's a restaurant. Their food reflects the progression of settlers into the area. This is where it's interesting...    Read moreTruly and unforgettable dining experience probably one of the top ten meals I have had in my life. The food was so good, everything was homemade with such high quality. Every vegetable was somehow the best vegetable I have ever had. The bison pot roast was so flavorful and unique. The woman who bakes the five different types of bread to choose.from said she was called on by God to work here and bake this bread and I completely agree with Him, this bread is nothing short of heavenly. Make sure you leave plenty of time to eat and learn about this history of the house and area with the wonderful hosts who will give you the most insightful, entertaining and researched stories about the area. The service was truly a highlight and they are eager to take you around the property and make you feel at home. Can't wait to come back some time and explore and learn more. If you are any where in the vicinity and have a little time you MUST stop this place is not one to be missed. Thanks for a...
