Pats Italian Restaurant in Coventry, RI, offers a commendable 8/10 dining experience. @patsitaliancoventry
Growing up in an Italian household in Rhode Island, I am particularly discerning when it comes to Italian restaurants, often finding myself unimpressed with many establishments in the state. However, Pats stands out as one of the few Italian restaurants that I can genuinely recommend.
With locations in Johnston and Coventry, Rhode Island, I prefer the dining experience at the Coventry location. I gotta tell ya that the design of the restaurant does not distinctly convey an Italian aesthetic.
Despite its unassuming exterior, the interior is clean and inviting, featuring a spacious seating area that also serves as an ideal venue for family dinner parties.
The welcoming and attentive wait staff adds to the positive atmosphere. Pats offers an extensive menu with delectable options, ranging from the beautifully plated Veal Sorrento to the skillfully prepared Shrimp Scampi. The consistency in the quality of each dish, served in generous portions, reflects the chefs' dedication and love for their craft.
Highlighted recommendations for appetizers include the Rhode Island Calamari, Mozzarella Triangles, and Italian Egg Rolls. For entrees, the Chicken Parm with Homemade Radiatore Pasta (substitute for pink sauce), Chicken Christine, Chicken Milanese, and Crispy Chicken Alfredo are standout choices.
Although seafood and eggplant are not typically in my culinary preferences, my family raves about the vast selections available. Pats also introduces new specials each week, ensuring a variety of flavorful options.
With a friendly and personable staff combined with a plethora of savory dishes, Pats Italian Restaurant guarantees an excellent dining experience! FOLLOW ME ON...
Read morefourteen people in our party for Mother's Day dinner. when making reservation, it was asked if your establishment could accomodate two people, one who are gluten free and egg free and we were told yes. when we arrived, salad was served to one of the guests with a huge piece of plastic in it. waitress apologized and brought another salad over. when time came to order entre, the person with gluten free allergy was able to order what she wanted, but the person who has egg allergy was told there was nothing on the menu egg free. NOT WHAT WAS TOLD TO US WHEN MAKING RESERVATION. He asked waitress a few times if the Chef could just throw a piece of plain chicken on the grill and was basically told NO. he in turn had to leave family members at the table and go down the street to have a subway. that is not acceptable. if we were told from the beginning that your establishment could not accomodate him, we would have NEVER come there and spent over $800 for horrible service and horrible accomodations. will never come to your establishment again and will never recommend your establishment to anyone. have been to the Johnston location and they're food is awsome and service and great. will go there...
Read moreWe went for an early dinner today. It was not busy so immediate seating. Safety protocols in place, masks and, distancing and name and phone number required. The place is very Clean. We had calamari that was good. The stuffed mushrooms were overcooked and to much water in the plate and too much breadcrumbs in the stuffing. The house salad dressing was tastless. I had chicken parm. It was good, the pasta was ok, the sauce was acceptable but a tad bland. My wife had Fra Diavlo, which is sautéed scallops and shrimp in a red sauce with angel hair pasta. The scallops were way overcooked while the shrimp were just overcooked. The pasta was fine. The sauce was too bland, seemed to have no spices at all and all watery. Hard to believe the difference in our meals. 2 different chefs perhaps? I gave 3 stars mainly for our server. She did a nice job. Unfortunately, we will not be back after spending $100.00 with the tip for a less than...
