UPDATE: The owner of the franchise reached out and gave my family a giftcard and sincere apologies. The manager we had that experience with is no longer at this store I’m unsure if she was let go or if they transferred her but we haven’t seen her. Thank you to the owner for taking immediate action. I am changing my review because of how this incident was handled.
To the owner of this fast food chain let me just tell you the awful experience I just had. My 4.5 year old daughter wanted a Happy Meal all morning long so finally around lunchtime we decided to go get her a Happy Meal because McDonalds is her favorite fast food establishment and she looks forward to getting her toy with her meal. The entire Ride there she was so excited and even clapped her hands when she saw the Big M sign. I order my daughter the Adult Happy Meal, the guy who took my order explains to me that those limited meals are gone so I asked him if they had a 10 piece kids meal with a toy because she has a big appetite so the 4-6 nuggets won’t fill her up and he tells me no but that if we order the 10 piece nugget meal that he would make it a happy meal and throw in a toy, I thought that was so sweet so I ordered the 10 piece meal plus 4 other meals I spend over $50+, once I get to the 2nd window I’m greeted by 2 women 1 is the manager she takes the toy out of the bag and tells me those are only for Happy Meals she pulls up the receipt and then dangles the toy out the window and tells my 4 year old “Hey little girl mommy didn’t pay for this so I can’t give it to you and we don’t condone stealing those are only for happy meals” my daughter was crying watching the manager take the toy back. I then ask the manager how much is it to buy the toy & she tells me $4 for the toy!! What a crazy amount to buy a toy. At this point there’s a huge line behind me she’s arguing back in forth with me and she says I have to come in and pay $4 for the toy that was originally offered to me by the employee when I ordered. I decided to go home because my daughter was crying in tears with snot running down her face. I would have ordered 2 happy meals to fill my daughter up had it meant she would get a toy. This manager is so mean and heartless. An establishment is only as good as the people who help run it. Why is this lady in management? She lacks compassion, she teased my daughter dangling a toy in her face like that. My daughter cried the entire ride home and she kept saying “I’m sad” over & over & “mean lady” this broke my heart. The manager from the location i went to called to see what i could do to fix my mistake or cancel the order so i wouldnt be charged the lady on the phone asked for my order number and i had to open the app and locate it so she hung up on me and quit answering the phone for myself and Penny of the catoosa Mcdonalds. A little later I called and asked for the General Managers name and the women would not give it to me until I said that I have a right as a consumer to know the name of the person who runs this store so I can one tell corporate when I call and make a complaint and two I need to know cause I'm personally going to come and speak to her about this situation and I need to know the name of the person I need to be asking to speak to. Then I asked for her name and the lady refused and said I didn't need to know that and hung up on me and then wouldn't answer. This happened at 2 today. Twenty min ago. I'm going to find out this lady's name she hung up on me from a manager named Penny of Catoosa, in front of my son in our car and just acted disgusting. Read moreSo the family and I go in here at about 9 pm so its late and they are slow. Theres not a soul in the lobby we are the only ones and there are very few cars in drive thru. I see plenty of employees. In fact more than I would expect for such a slow time of night. So we order at the kiosk and sit. It takes forever to get our food, and its wrong when we do get it. They miss a few things and made a few things wrong. So we take it up and stand there waiting for several minutes before sorrow even sees we're the waiting, they finally do and come over to us so we can tell them whats wrong. They ring up the mistakes so it can be remade. Then we wait another several minutes for a kids cheeseburger to be remade. With 8 or so people working, only us in dine in and very few cars in drive there's absolutely no excuse for it to take so long or for everything to be wrong. Oh and before we left they took all the nozzles off the soda fountain so we couldn't get refills. I look in the bucket of cleaner where they put them and they didn't separate the nozzle from the diffuser. Thats disgusting and how mold gets built up in there. You have to separate those two before you out them in the cleaner or it doesn't clean the space in between them. Gonna make...
