Another stop on the RI Food Fights TacoMania! I ventured here while in the area on errands. Pulling up to the shop, it reminds me of what I remember of Mexico: Bright colors, a sense of good hospitality and delicious smells. Inside, the bright colors continue. Classic mariachi plays softly in the background and you get the feeling you should relax, kick back, stay awhile. You have the option to take it to go, but I took at seat at the communal table against the wall instead. The tacos came out quickly, with plenty of lime and a roasted tomatillo sauce. I went with the cashier's recommendation of carnitas tacos. Warm corn tortillas, crispy but juicy braised pork, with all the traditional toppings. One bite and I was in heaven. If you are worried about spicy, the taco itself is flavorful but not spicy. The roasted tomatillo sauce is where the heat is. Not too much, a nice mild punch of heat. You can taste the char of the roast, enhancing the essence of the fruit with a richness that was lovely paired with the pork. The tacos were inhaled, two is not enough!! I'll just have to come back soon to get some more.

We stopped in to Maria's for the RI Food Fights Taco Mania!' The dining room is clean, bright and festive with plenty of seating. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had the Al Pastor & Carnitas Tacos, both were authentic and delicious! This place would be a frequent stop if lived or worked in the area. Bonus: There's also a $2.99 taco special if you find yourself in the area on a Taco Tuesday.

Discovered this gem because of Tacomania... The steak and barbacoa tacos were amazing! The place is a bit small indoors, but it felt cozy and welcoming. Friendly staff, she kept checking in on us, which we appreciated.

We came here for taco month and I’m happy we did! We had tacos, the quesadilla, chimichanga, and churros. All were excellent and very authentic! I also like they have an outside area which was suitable for us with our kids to wander. We will be...
