We ordered takeout for lunch at the office, a couple of salads. They were huge and packed with all the goodies. And they made them so fast for pickup. No complaints with the food!
I just found it really strange how stingy they are on giving you plastic forks. I just needed one for each salad, as this is going back to the office. When picking up I just asked if there were forks provided the girl assured me they were already in the bag. I checked the bag in the car and no forks. I took the salads completely out of the bag to make sure because I didn't feel like having to go back. No forks provided. It really was no big deal, but when I went back in and talked to the same girl again. I told her there was no forks and I needed 2, she insisted 'Am I sure?' because she was positive she put them in there. I told her I checked the bag and there wasn't any. Another girl walked by and said you probably just forgot them, and she insisted that she had put them in there. So again I had to say I am positive no forks in the bag, would you like me to get it for you to show you?
She did give me a couple forks (no napkins) and continued talking to the other girl as if I wasn't there saying she felt the forks in the bag!!!! So am I a liar then?
Strange experience, I won't be back because of this. Which is a shame because these salads both looked amazing!

Read moreExcellent food! Excellent prices! Excellent service! I walked in after nit being there for over two years. The big cheese is a privately owned italian eatery and it's delicious. I had a calzone. They have about 10 different kinds, all around 10 bucks or under with a few exceptions. The calzones are pretty large and ended up taking some home. My date had spaghetti and red sauce and a garden salad. It was served with soft Italian bread and butter. . I tried some of my dates salad and it was so good I ordered a salad for myself. The salad was a good portion the usual iceberg lettuce with various garden extras and a nice sliced tomato. The dressing is what pulled me in. I think it was home-made. It was delicious. We were original seated at a two top table which was small due to covid social distancing but the waitress quickly switched us out to a larger booth as soon as a party left. The food cane out quickly and the beer was nice and cold. My calzones was, sausage ,banana peppers eggplant and feta cheese. It melted in my mouth. My date lived the red sauce and like I said the salad was great. I sorry I had forgotten about this place because it really is a gem and I won't be making that mistake again. If you like good Italian food, I highly recommend The Big...
Read more(update below) So, I've been to Big Cheese a lot of times. I first came 3 years ago for pizza month, and I keep coming back.
While the atmosphere is nice, it is also a little dated. That being said, the restaurant is clean, the service is kind and prompt, and the food is delicious. The mozzarella bread appetizer is so packed with gooey cheese it is worth stopping by for all on its own.
This month is sandwich month and, while I'm not big on Italian grinders, I found their sandwich delicious. The bread was crispy, the cheese melted on top was gooey and salty, and the dressing on the Italian grinder was just the right touch to make it come together.
Big Cheese is the kind of restaurant your parents took you to eat at when you where a kid. It is filled with the energy of "the good old days." The prices are reasonable, the quality is good, and the wait is always worth it, even if it is usually quite long.
3/15/25 Just want to reiterate that this place is delicious. Have been a dozen times since my first and I always leave happy. I will say the wait times for food to cook are still very long, but as long as you have someone to talk to it'll...
