Our family opted to eat out while staying near in Orick, and one of the park rangers we met at the visitor center recommended this restaurant. The hamburgers are large and I believe the lady at the window mentioned that it's 8+ oz patty. It was nice to see other options like Calamari and Mozzarella sticks on the menu. You have an option to have potato salad instead of french fries for your burgers. By the time, we sit down to eat our burgers, we thought fries were a bit soggy and not as crisp as we hoped for. I wondered if the fries have been cooked before our burger were finished and it set inside the paper bag and became less crisp and hot. I think if you are dining inside the bar, I'm certain that you would get hot crisp fries. Mozzarella sticks were enjoyed very much but 2-3 sticks (out of 6 or 7 sticks) were hollowed inside which is understandable. We enjoyed the burger very much and we thought this place is worth making a short trip from Prairie Creek Redwood State Park in the late afternoon.

It looks like the whole town is thriving when fishing season starts. And it used to be named as Rods & Reels, but now it just simply being called Burgers. Since we're visiting, we just drove by without realizing it doesn't have a big signage indicating that it is a restaurant (in this case, it's a bar).

I believe under 21 is not allowed to dine inside as the kitchen serves both the bar patrons and through the window.

There is a picnic table just around the corner. I recommend the picnic tables by Yurok Country Visitor Center (behind the stadium seats, hidden from the road) which is just a few steps...

My party and I were floored at the treatment of customers at this establishment.

I was mocked by kitchen staff for simply verifying where to order, and the rest of my party were not treated any better. They used derogatory language to express their feelings on customers after they have left the building, this happened to a man asking if he could bring a menu out to his wife in their car.

I respect that this is a bar, but when 101 is closed with an over 2 hour delay before opening alcohol was not what me or my party needed and the food sounded delicious. We were mocked and criticized for not ordering drinks with the cook making comments like “we’re going to start only making orders with a three drink minimum”. Additionally to this comment they were loudly swearing about customers in the back.

Personally this was my breaking point and I left the table with a half finished burger.

The food was delicious but it’s too bad the service ruins anything redeeming about this place. I would not recommend this place to anyone who has self respect.

It should also be noted that the interior is grimy, with no ppe used by...

This place is great! My wife and I had the BBQ and Mushroom-Swiss burgers tonight and both were absolutely delicious...excellent toppings and juicy, HUGE, massive hand- formed patties. The fries were nice and crispy, but the best part about them is the home-made fry sauce. Ask for the recipe; they will happily give it out rather than having to keep buying squeeze bottles because people keep walking out with the fry sauce bottles (it really is that good). The vibe is straight-up fun small-town logger dive bar like I spent many young adult nights in (other reviewers have pictures that kind of capture it) and the three ladies running the joint tonight were great. If I'm ever back this way again this will definitely be a 'must stop' on the...

We stopped in for dinner from a recommendation from the front desk manager at our hotel across the street. When you walk in, you order at the kitchen door and then grab a drink at the bar, pick a table and relax. As I was reviewing the menu inside, two local patrons told me you can’t go wrong with the patty melt. So I ordered one with fries. I’ll be honest, this was one of the best patty melts that I’ve ever had. That thick, juicy, locally sourced hamburger was outstanding along with the grilled onions, cheese and grilled rye bread just melted in my mouth. The fries were ok, nothing special. Loved the vibe in the bar along with all of the dollar bills on the ceiling. All of the staff were super friendly. Definitely recommend - check them out.

Nestled next to beautiful tree-covered hills, this eatery has that cozy inviting feel that makes you want to stay awhile. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a pastrami sandwich, both were juicy and stacked just right. The cocktails are very reasonably priced, we had one priced at $5! This place is also a playground for grownups, with pool tables, darts, and a fun atmosphere that keeps the good times rolling. Look up, and you will spot dollar bills on a portion of the ceiling, it might have something to do with the tradition of pinning dollars to the ceiling as a good-luck charm. The staff is super friendly, making you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. Great food and great people!
