Denny's Place — Restaurant in Crescent

I've seen shades of this service in previous visits. A gentleman operating the bar feels very reluctant to answer the phone and handle orders, if this option wasn't available to him he may not even have a job. We placed an order, at 7:30 were told 50 minutes. That was fine my wife arrived an hour later where she was told another 30 minutes. Now there was another couple there that was waiting for a Take and Bake. And after my Wife's 30 minutes the same couple was waiting for a Take and Bake. Now I don't wanna be the guy that drops the "I worked in a major pizza chain" reference, but how long does a Take and Bake involve to make? The second visit my Wife made, she asked about our order coincided with a "Don't shoot the messenger" moment, but it will be another 30 minutes. You will never have the business of my nor my Sisters family again. I love supporting and purchasing business from small business operations. I wish you luck, but with your current business model it...

I'm generally not one to write a negative review, but I felt this was appropriate. This review is not based on their food sadly, as we didn't stay long enough to even try it. My husband and I stopped in yesterday (Sunday 8/26/18) about 4:30pm for dinner. Figured we'd try a new spot, and we both love pizza. Walked in and the place was not busy at all. Less than 10 people total inside tops. However, we sat down at a booth and the table top was filthy. Moved to a different booth and the seat was filthy. And not filthy like crumbs here and there either. Filthy like sticky wet nasty food remnants left over from whoever sat there last. It wasn't even like it was lunch or dinner rush or that the place was crowded and the staff couldn't get to clean the tables fast enough (which if was the case then we would have had an easier time looking past). No...the tables were just dirty. So we left. Doubt we will ever be...

This place is awesome. Me and and my son stopped in here with our last 20 bucks. We got the small pizza and 1 glass of tea. While we were finishing up the delicious pizza the lady that was our waitress came up and was talking to us and asked us where we was headed to and I told her. Next thing you know she told us that dinner was paid for by her. Wow. I was shocked. I told her she didn't have to that we could pay for it but she wasn't having it. All she asked is for us to pay it forward some time. And we shall. Aside from that. The pizza was amazing. The atmosphere was positive and up beat. Definitely will be coming back again. Saving this little spot for future stops. And to the sweet waitress. Thank you and God bless you. And we will pay it...
