Henry's Diner looks like it has been around for many years. Based on our experience, this place will be around for quite some time to come. There were still several patrons on a Monday even after the lunch hour. Many of them seemed to be regulars there. Service was friendly and efficient. The menu had a nice selection of appetizers, sandwiches, and dinners. There were also 4 daily specials -- I choose the Meatloaf dinner (good) with sides of Ham & Bean Soup (excellent) and American Fries (otherwise known as country potatoes -- also delicious). My wife had the Henry's Philly which had plenty of prime rib, peppers, cheese, and onions work a side of Onion Rings. Both were delicious! We saved barely enough room to share a piece of Peach Pie for dessert: Double crusted with homemade whipped cream. It was a great finish to our meal.

I ordered the prime rib with onion rings and coleslaw. The prime rib was tender and flavorful. The onion rings had good flavor but were cold and the basket had a bunch of oil in it. The coleslaw was good. My wife had the smothered chicken which had green peppers and onion with white gravy. She said it was good. She wasn’t impressed with the sweet potato waffle fries. The rolls were kind of hard. The restaurant was clean. It has a bar off to the side. Fortunately we were on the other side of the restaurant. We didn’t know they served alcohol. We are non-drinkers. It was busy, and the food came in a reasonable time. The waitress was friendly and attentive in spite how busy they were. The parking is tight and limited. They have a large variety of food. We spent around $53 total for the two of us.

When you come to Henry's, everyone knows everyone. It's a small town diner filled with people that have stories. They might not be directly telling you their stories, but you can hear them all around. The waitresses are kind, humble and fast. The food is yummy. As you can see, I didn't get a chance to grab a photo of the Cinnamon Roll... it's that good. Small town feel, big time flavor. The biscuits and gravy were a hit and the French toast reminds you of how mom made it. Definitely worth a little drive outside of the city.

I actually thought this place was ok. when I ate there a little basic and dull but would work to visit with family and my friend when I came to visit. I told my parents I would love to have breakfast with them there the next morning. My father had lived down the street from there his whole life. And I would expect more from this place from a small town. My father got there 30 minutes before me, he was going to get us a seat. They told him he would have to sit out in his car in the cold until his party arrived. So because he felt disrespected. He left and we had a great time at the cracker barrel instead. The food at Henry’s diner was ok, but I wouldn’t say “nothing finer “ the fries were hard and the potato smiles were greasy, burgers had no flavor. The seats were torn up the tables wobbly. No where nice enough to tell an older man to wait outside in the cold as if he were a peasant. So you will no longer be getting my business. Or my father’s business. A man that has done a lot for the community you live in....

the food is amazing but I got told to leave because a woman confronted me on how I'm handling my child in the bathroom as my 4 week old baby and my 2 year old daughter is at the table with their grandmother and father and I told this woman she needs to mind her business I will discipline my child as I please this is my child and she keeps running her mouth to me and then she put her hand on my child someone I don't know nor does she know my child to touch him and then the owner henry gets involved asked me to calm down but how do you calm down when a person you don't know touches your child and then the owner don't even take the time to hear you out because their his regulars and I was upset my voice was raised but how heart breaking we had to leave and didn't get the decency to be heard or have a nice meal... IF YOUR NOT A LOCAL GOOD LUCK. Not kid friendly if you make...
