Where do I even begin? First off, the parking situation is a complete mess. With all the money this place is making, you’d think they could repaint the lines or design a safer lot. Instead, cars are crammed into every corner, doors get dinged, bumpers get hit, and customers are forced to step out into traffic flying by on the highway. It feels unsafe before you even walk inside.
Once you get in, things don’t improve. The building is cramped, the floors had trash scattered around, and the check-in area looked like someone had just tossed menus everywhere. There was no indoor seating available we were told to wait an hour and the outdoor seating area didn’t feel stable. Every time someone walked by, the floor and tables shook, which was unsettling.
The staff didn’t seem prepared. Tables were wiped down with dirty rags that smelled bad, and no disinfectant or proper cleaning products were used. I noticed spiderwebs in the window corners, under tables, and under chairs.
The food was by far the biggest disappointment. We paid $137 for four plates, and none of it was worth the price. The guacamole was straight from a package, not fresh. The beans tasted like they came out of a can. Nothing felt homemade or authentic. The chicken was pink in the middle and didn’t appear grilled more like pan cooked and underdone. My asada plate was burned, and the street taco meat tasted like leftovers from the day before. The food was bland, lacked spice, and even the salsa was clearly store bought. Nothing screamed authentic Mexican food.
This place seems more concerned with pushing people in and out than actually serving quality meals. TikTok and social media influencers have overhyped it, but in reality, it’s garbage when it comes to food.
The only thing this place might be good for is grabbing a few beers that’s it. If you want real, authentic Mexican food, go to the street vendors in Highland. Don’t waste your time or...
Read moreI’ve been eating here for several years now. Over time, there’s been a gradual decline in the quality of the food. I came with my family to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. We were seated and brought drinks. After almost an hour of waiting for our order, I saw at least two other parties get served and finish their meals. The waitress that took our order never once returned to check on us. Not once. I had to pull another waiter and asked them to please check on our order. A different server came and told us they were working on it. Might I mention that the staff was completely annoyed that we asked and they were not polite. I’m a person who prefers to avoid confrontation so I wasn’t being a jerk when I asked them, and I felt like being treated as an inconvenience was unacceptable. We were a party of 5 and this was our full order: two enchiladas a la cart, one cheese quesadilla, one chicken burrito, and one combination plate. Not very much food for a party of this size. Now for the food. It is not good. I had the combo plate and all I can say is that everything on the plate tastes exactly the same. Bland and salty. It saddens me to see how poorly this place treats its customers. I have two young children and on our way to the car, unprovoked, both of my them said that they don’t ever want to eat here again. I couldn’t agree more. As a local in the community, I love to support local businesses and do not like leaving negative reviews. My only intention in sharing my experience is to hopefully spare at least one person from having such a...
Read moreLast night we chose this restaurant restaurant for our wedding dinner, Sadly it was an overall bad experience. We had a small party of 14 people and it seemed to much to handle for the staff. We had very long wait times for ordering and we were brought our drinks and never offered refills. The food was alright, definitely not worth the premium they are charging. My wife and I ordered meals and my two smaller kids shared a meal and my daughter got a kids meal. The kids meal was a joke it was a street taco tortilla with a spoon full of beans and French fries for $8,99 and that didn’t include the drink, The drink was $4.25 extra.. The look of disappointment on my child’s face said it all.. The worst part of all is they decided to charge 20% on top of our bill because they considered us a “large party”. We were split into 6 different tickets and each total was up charged.. Mind you this wasn’t done in a legit way instead the server crossed out the total on the receipt and wrote in her own tip with pen. I don’t think that is legal and I don’t think it is deserved in any way considering the lack of service. This is very sad considering our family has held many memorable events at this establishment in the past and now we won’t be using this as a considerable dining option for the future. Be careful when ordering and don’t let them change your price because the staff thinks they entitled to 20% gratuities whenever...
