Nestled in the small town of Crisfield, Waters Edge Cafe is a must stop when visiting or traveling down the Eastern Shore. The location has two dining areas, a more conventional restaurant as well as a retro themed restaurant with ice cream and soda fountains. The options of food were slightly more limited than other American food options in Crisfield, but the quality was excellent. The East Coast Reuben was particularly good, with melt in your mouth corn beef. The waitress and waiter who helped us that evening were respectful and very friendly. All in all, Waters Edge Cafe is an excellent Crisfield establishment. If you’re visiting Crisfield proper or simply passing by, stop in! You won’t regret it.

The food was really good! I was a bit taken back by the stewed tomatoes as I had never had them with cinnamon but it was surprisingly yummy! The cornbread is delish, homemade southern style... wish I had the recipe. Crab cakes were amazing and not much filler and what little filler it had was very tasty. My husband loved his Rueben sandwich too. Our server (I’m terrible with names) was I believe Anna or Annie... anyway she was brand new and you would have never know it if I hadn’t thrown her a curveball with having a milk allergy. She checked the items for milk and was thorough. Very attentive and kind. Next time we come to Chincoteague area will stop in Crisfield just to have lunch here.

It was quite busy and easy to see they were overwhelmed. The waitress was very nice and apologetic about this so I would not hold it against them. However, the food was just not very good which I will hold against them. The crab cake had way too much mayonnaise and did not maintain its structure. The Mac and Cheese and Mashed potatoes was not very good, they tasted like a store microwave version. The Mac and cheese had too much grease or butter, could not tell which. The chicken was bland and very greasy. Flounder was ok. There was also like a million flys running around the whole time.

I deleted a previous review that was also five Stars, not because I wanted to leave a bad review but because ownership has changed.

We came into today to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, and wanted to go to the first restaurant we ever visited when we moved to this town.

Waters edge will always hold a special place in my heart. It didn't disappoint on our first visit or any visit after that.

Today was no different, the food was excellent, they did change the size of the crab dip and It's an amazing thing. We always used to feel bad when getting it it's delicious but they would give you way way too much, they've adjusted the size and added more crab to the dip.

Only wish they'd add more bread but it's still my favorite dish. The baskets we got, shrimp and oysters were amazing. They made the baskets bigger which is wonderful.

As for the place it's clean and the decor is amazing. The staff was a really amazing special shout out to Mr. Bradford, he's extremely hard working and was a...

New management has taken this place to a new level. If I could give this a below one I would. So disappointing. Before 6:15 pm they had run out of some of sides that go with your meal. Portion size for a clam basket was ridiculous- hardly enough to cover a regular size napkin. Asked for double fries since they didn’t have the coleslaw and didn’t get them. Waitresses eating at checkout counter in front of customers is unprofessional- esp what and how they were eating! Should have been a clue when there was hardly anyone there on a Saturday evening! Never again. Previous owners were great, food was great and they were professional- unlike now. Waitress we had was friendly and all. Nice to know also employees eat a mile high basket of food while your paying customers get the crumbs! Will never return and be shocked if they remain in business by next year! Such a disappointment for those of us returning and looking forward to a nice...

The food was pretty good, and staff were nice and very attentive. Their crab fries were generously portioned; the crab balls and soup less so. We ordered some crab cake sandwiches which were tasty, but the difference between fried and broiled is not clear.

All that being said, the food is REALLY expensive relative to what you're getting, and they also messed up our take out orders (first forgot to make one altogether, then gave us the wrong item - which we didn't ask to be fixed because we had been waiting so long and were starving. They also mixed up items between the three orders that were placed separately); and I just feel like if you're going to charge that much for food, the standard for accuracy and quality...
