This place is AMAZING! You have fresh hushpuppies brought to your table first (perfectly cooked and tasted great). I had the Gator Bite Dinner (I started eating and forgot to take a picture) - best fried gator that I have ever had. They have a lady cook from Louisiana and boy can she cook. My husband had the Country Fried Steak Dinner and not only was it the largest CFS that he has ever eaten, but he said it was in his top 3 ever (he always orders CFS everywhere we go). It came with deliciously homemade mashed potatoes & gravy. We both had the coleslaw, which was good. For dessert, we both ordered the homemade Peach Cobbler, and it was so tasty with our freshly made coffee. The owner was the nicest guy that you will ever meet (James) and came to our table throughout our meal to check on us. The place was spotless, and the service that Hannah, our friendly waitress gave us, was impeccable as our drinks were kept full, we were constantly checked on and had everything we wanted within seconds. I can only recall this type of service, maybe a handfull of times in all of our travel in the area!

Went for an early dinner with family. I guess this is a seafood restaurant but have other things as well. Had the special of Fish or Shrimp tacos. The taco has coleslaw and baja sauce inside as well. I ordered it with grilled shrimp. It's a great deal for the amount of shrimp you got in the taco and tasty too. I believe there are 4 or 5 good size shrimp in each taco. Next time I would say extra sauce though. It also came with a side. The hushpuppies were alright. Other family members had a grilled shrimp dinner with mash potatoes and green beans and chicken fingers with onion rings and sweet potato fries. They commented that theirs was ok. Onion rings a bit greasy inside and only 3 small chicken tenders but other than that all was well. Finished with peach cobbler for the folks and I had the strawberry cobbler. Not very sweet. It was ok. But apparently the chocolate cake is amazing because it had sold out already before 4pm on a Friday. All and all I'd go again for those tacos.

I’m a city of Chicago girl who moved south. The Cabin is SO local, it’s crazy. It’s like the music stopped when we walked in. We were headed on a long road trip and found this place via google maps. It’s only 1.5 miles off 40 (2 min drive). All of their fish can be served grilled, blackened or breaded and fried. We tried the gator appetizer. It’s breaded and fried. The breading is thin, crispy and flavorful. For dinner I had grilled cod, green beans and a sweet potato. All were cooked perfectly. The cod was a nice thick cut and a good value. Five Stars would definitely recommend. It’s not Alinea, but they are crushing it at what they do.

This place was our favorite of the Fairfield Glades area (Crossville TN). The staff was very attentive and kind, it’s very casual but quiet with nice background music. There were families and older couples all around. I was worried with the large volume of fried foods on the menu it may smell like a grease hut but it did not at all. It was a pleasant dinner. The food was very tasty. Wife had grilled shrimp and they were good. My country fried steak was delicious and Huge. The hush puppies were bite size and cooked perfectly. I prefer a little more seasoning in the corn meal but they were still tasty. We weren’t thrilled with the fried green tomatoes. Very thick hard batter and dense tomatoes but that was the only item we didn’t finish. Our veggies were good and the mashed potatoes. It’s a good southern country dinner. I would recommend...
