Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Cullman

First visit to this location. Not impressed at all. They had 30 minute wait upon arrival so my wife and I gave our name and went to sit at the bar while we waited for a table. While at the bar we sat for 15 minutes with someone else's left behind meals, empty glasses and dirty napkins until that was finally cleared away but we went unrecognized for another 10 minutes before being asked what we wanted to drink. After getting our drinks and getting a sip of a poorly made and overpriced cocktail we were called to a table. Along the way we found trash on the floor in the dining area and would later be served something that resembled our order. Stale chips for dip, pretzel rods would have been better then what pretzels and soup was delivered and everything that was cold should have been at best warm the sides were all wrong. Once I got what I ordered corrected it was served with Seasoning on the side when it should have been on the dish while prepared. By the time we started eating in the stages it was served our drinks were empty. We ordered more drinks but wouldn't see those until our meal was done. My spouse and I stopped by the Applebee’s in Cullman, Alabama, for a family birthday celebration , and it turned into one of the best casual-dining experiences we’ve had in years. From the moment we stepped inside, the restaurant felt spotless—floors gleaming, tables wiped down the second they were free, and even the restrooms looked freshly detailed. I just want to say so far We have been eating in Cullman Applebees now for about 7 months . Very nice staff. Atmosphere is great! The food we have ordered has been delicious. We have ordered online and they delivered to the car we had everything and all sauces. I have read the other reviews and I've also been in the restaurant industry for over 20yrs. If your one of those ppl that are impatient can't wait sit at the bar they are at your service. I've been in both sections bar and at a table. They were very attentive. If you want extra attention tip your server before she waits on you! Then tip them afterwards. If you have kids that are really messy go ahead and tip a little. Don't just brag on how wonderful your server / bartender is because that's a red flag!! When you brag you don't tip!!! 4.FYI I made $3.50an hr for 20yrs plus tips.
