Firstly I would like to state that I am not upset or angry at anyone in particular but just sharing my first experience me and my wife had on Valentine's Day.
So we called about a month before and managed to get a reservation thankfully. We went in and unfortunately they didn't get the name right. They put it under Jack Musick instead of Jeff Music.
Secondly, our server was incredible and very nice and understanding. But my wife ordered a Prime Rib and I got a burger. After waiting for 25 to 30 minutes we finally got our food but her Prime Rib was very undercooked and looks like all a cook did was touch it on the flattop for 2 seconds and then microwave it until it hit an edible temperature. She got it back but it tasted weird and she didn't even have the stomach to eat it again as she threw up only about an hour after we left.
The server even mentioned that she wouldn't have eaten that. If she wouldn't have eaten it why did she serve it in the first place? If food looks wrong or not correct, then the server should voice that to the Chef or Manager on duty.
First impressions are everything but we more than likely won't be...
Read moreUpdate to below review: Someone from the restaurant responded to my review requesting I call. While I appreciate the effort, there is no reason to discuss my review. This was my experience, I do not want anything from anyone there. If they want to improve, I would suggest hiring more staff and changing recipes or cooks.
Arrived a1:30pm. This was our first and last visit. We had the buffet. Fried chicken seemed to be rolled in flour only and over fried. Not much taste to it. Also tried the Salisbury steak. Was better than the chicken but you can tell very little effort or seasonings goes into the food here. The salad was ok. The service was terrible also. Had to go get menus ourselves before deciding on the buffet. Then no one ever came by to check on us. I had to get a waitress's attention to find out where the buffet was. When finished, we had to go up to the register and tell the guy what we had in order to pay. Just overall a...
Read moreWe used to frequent Pepper's in Culpeper once a week. Because if Covid we stopped eating out until tonight. My husband and I were so disappointed and will not be going back. I ordered the shrimp, Pepper's special potato chips, and green beans, and unsweetened tea to drink. The shrimp were half the size it used to be and before they fried it, the cook didn't clean the legs off of the shrimp. The Pepper's fries had a tiny amount of blue cheese and hot sauce on about a quarter of them. I remembered that previously the waitress always brought us hot rolls before the dinner was served - I asked the waitress tonight if they still served them with dinner - her answer was - you have to ask for them. Ok, so I asked for them and she said she was going to have to go put them in the microwave. The salad bar was half of what it used to be. Need I say anymore? It just was not a good experience tonight. We won't...
