Burrito was extremely disappointed to be promised hibachi cooked in front of her on a recent visit to see our friends, Cupcake & Brat, in Culpeper. Apparently, they are no longer offering hibachi cooked in front of you, and are basically just cooking in the back in the kitchen, which makes the entire reason for going obsolete. You can’t get hibachi noodles, just really crappy rice. It wasn’t even good rice. There was also a bug, I believe was some kind of weird black ladybug crawling on my menu. See video. I would have left and walked out that instant had we not been with company. Forced to eat here, I had the chicken hibachi which was completely underwhelming. The spring rolls app was piping hot and the best thing I had there. Dumpling says the sushi was the saving grace. He wishes he stuck with just the sushi and didn’t also get the chicken hibachi. He states it is not worth going out of your way to eat here. Cupcake & Brat thought it was great, but were likewise disappointed by the lack of operational hibachi cooking in front of us.

Had a great dinner at Osaka in Culpeper! We ordered the hibachi shrimp, hibachi salmon, and the Angry Bird roll. Both hibachi dishes were tasty — generous portions with a good mix of veggies. The fried rice was a little underseasoned on its own, but it balanced out nicely with the salty shrimp and especially the flavorful salmon teriyaki. The shrimp were on the smaller side, but they gave a good amount so it still felt satisfying. The Angry Bird roll was the highlight — super delicious, beautifully presented, and much larger than most rolls I’ve had at this price point. They were generous with both the filling and sauce. A nice touch: our server remembered that my husband doesn’t eat raw food and had the roe excluded without us even needing to ask. Really appreciated the attention to detail.

I love sushi, but this place is at the bottom of my list. I read the reviews before I went, but I can't blame the locals because they have never had good sushi before. The sashimi here were frozen, then thawed out. The texture of the sashimi was still crystallized. Usually Ono is supposed to be like butter and melt once you pop it in your mouth. But, the Ono here was rubbery. I got sick from eating here because the fish wasn't fresh. I only ate one piece of each. The roll was poorly made. The only thing I like was the Miso soup. If you guys ever come to Fresno, CA look me up. I'll take you to the best place for sushi, my treat.

So I wasn’t going to post a review because the gentlemen who took our order and answered our complaints was SO kind and very sorry. I also understand we are in difficult times however, we ordered three hibachi vegetables dinners TOGO. Now I have got to go from here in the past and it’s never been this terrible. We picked it up and were starving and excited. Got back to the house and the fried rice was mushy and dark like slammed with soy sauce as well as the vegetables. I instantly knew it didn’t look like the typical hibachi but my sister paid so I felt bad to not eat it. I tried to eat it and literally gagged. Along with the rest of us who had the meal. It was the worse hibachi meal I have ever had. Literally will all do respect as I understand this is someone’s job but I cannot even explain the taste. We are also huge hibachi people and recently ate at one in Gainesville that was Phenomenal. I did call and complain. I didn’t want to but there was just no way we could eat it. I asked for a partial refund just as I understand we took it Togo but it went right into the trash. The gentleman again was very apologetic and I praised him for that. He offered a refund if we drove back and brought the meals back. I did tell him not to worry about it because I wasn’t driving back across town to deliver inedible food just for them to review how poorly it was done. I apologize for the review but I would hate to have the same experience again. Therefore. We will not be returning. I pray the get back to how the use...

I ordered 3 shrimp tempora rolls 1 screaming dragon roll ,1 golden dragon roll , 1 California roll and some.ginger dressing for salads from this establishment and it cost me 81.64 cents although I can get the same product better taste from Tokyo garden in locust Grove for 45.00 I paid for what we ordered when we got it home the shrimp was extra strong as of it was not cooked all the way. we have over half the order that was left and people refuse to try again after the first bite all cooked no raw product or it should of been anyways . Prices were outrageous and I used to do work and order from the previous owner Wilson he would never put out food like this it's terrible and for a small town like Culpeper there's not many choices for food .80$ could get my family a steak dinner at out back without making them sick We are highly disappointed on how this business has changed . They have noone to do hibachi so it's all to go so they can serve less food . As a person who doesn't mind paying for good food I can honestly say I just paid 186.00 last night for the great American buffet in Central Park Fredericksburg and I would do that again before ordering anything from Osaka .what a shame . Customer service and food quality is...

A friend and I tried this place night before a 100km cycling event in the area. We were out of town and didn't know where to eat so we checked for near by restaurants with good reviews. Osaka was rated highly and it was close to our hotel. We ordered some sushi and few other items. Waiter brought my salad and spilled it all over our table. It happens no worries. He comes by later and spills water on the table...ok maybe he is new. What bothered me was that he had his whole thumb in my salad bowl! Also the miso soup did not taste like a miso soup. Sushi and sashimi combo I got was frozen solid or had a slight fishy smell. Everything from presentation to taste/texture of their food was very low quality. I'd compare to mall food court Japanese place but maybe I'm giving them too much credit. Anyways...we left the place feeling ripped off. My friend and I had the worst diahrea and had to load up on pepto bismol next day for our cycling event. What a sad excuse of a Japanese restaurant. Never go to a Japanese restaurant run by...
