Updated review 6.6.22: I had to remove a star simply for slow service and for a disappointing burger. There was only us in the place and we waited an unusually long time for our food and for service like plate clearing and closing our checks. The burgers are pretty small and charred for the size bun but the bun is really good This would be a 3 star review but for the fact that I previously gave 5 stars for two other visits. Expect another update.
Original Review 7.8.19: One of the best in North Central Oregon!
My mom offered to take me out for my B-Day, so I decided it was the perfect time to try the newest addition to North Central Oregon. I'm glad we did.
When I first walked in, I was impressed by how they had opened up the space and arranged it. They made really good use of space to include many different seating options and table/chair types. The room was warm and bright, and I felt welcome right away!
I ordered the French Dip, and Mom had the Quesadilla. Right off, I was a bit underwhelmed by the menu; there wasn't a huge selection, especially for vegetarians. I understand the restaurant business, so logically, the menu makes sense, but I've become spoiled by too many choices on most menus.. This turned out to be refreshing.
My French Dip was pretty good. I'm fairly picky about my French Dips, so I was skeptical when it arrived with what appeared to be fairly thick slabs of meat. Once I got to work on that bad boy, my fears where mostly banished. The sandwich was a bit different than what I'm used to, but it seemed more authentic, and the meat just fell apart in my mouth. They make their own fries as well, and they come plain or seasoned...I opted for seasoned and was a bit underwhelmed there. The fry sauce was also unique with apple undertones...yeah...I know, it's fry sauce, but it stood out!
My mom's Quesadilla was awesome as well. Once again, when the plates arrived, I was not impressed with the lack of salsa (they only served sour cream), but after taking a bite, I figured that the salsa was cooked right in! Very flavorful, crispy on the outside and melted cheese and nummy veggies inside. It's hard to impress with a quesadilla, but this place pulled it off.
Lastly, I'm going to give props out to our server: it's rare to see a server with the ability to take a simple order without writing it down and still getting the special requests right...and then knowing who ordered what without auctioning the food. That's an extra star for impressing an arrogant old-school waiter!
If you've read my other reviews, you'll know 5 stars isn't just given, it's earned. I gave the extra star for the impressive server, and the fact that I'm the first reviewer of a really good restaurant, and they really deserve the 5th star and your business! Burgers, steaks and brews in a family oriented restaurant (they treat their staff like family, one of the reasons I wanted to go)... What more could you...

...where to begin? The waitress: Sweetest thing ever! She was amazing! 100 percent the best waitress! This is her calling in life for sure. The drinks: Wow! Accidentally ended up with a spicy Bloody Mary, but wow...as a person who hates the Bloody Mary this was glorious! I actually enjoyed this so much I accidentally drank half of it (my husband's drink). As for my drink, it should be illegal to serve such deliciously deceitful drinks! Pretty hot outside so a lemon drop seemed refreshing. I swear I could down a pitcher of this! It tastes like perfect lemonade! She even suggested I try a Marionberry version and it was equally amazing! For the food: Jalapeno Blackberry wings? What on earth?! Why not? Yolo?? I hate that phrase but thank goodness I did it. This is the thing you never knew you needed in your life. I'm now terrified I'll never experience another glorious wing like this. It has forever changed wings for me. I topped that off with some garlic Parmesan fries....taste buds overwhelmed by delight again. When they say garlic Parmesan fries they mean: Garlic. Parmesan. Fries. I'm talking equal ratios here. So if you're into the garlic Parm life, this my friend is for you. Also ordered: fish and chips (sweet potato fries). These light and flaky little fishes in a sweet crispy fried breading was amazing. Perfectly crispy, perfectly flavored. Overall, this place is an amazing gem. I regret not taking pics to share...
Read moreWe were on vacation visiting some family and we stayed at the near by KOA. We met my grandparents there for an early dinner, they came from Bend and had googled restaurants in Culver. This was seemingly the only restaurant in this small town, and in those instances they are usually REALLY good or REALLY bad. In this case, it was REALLY good. The waitress (Kelly if I remember correctly) was super sweet, super attentive and super understanding of our wild two year old. The food was delicious and we truly enjoyed our experience there.
We had a lovely couple sitting behind us who where locals it seemed because the waitress called them by name. They complimented my husbands Dixxon shirt and was asking how old our son was. Overall, the waitress, the atmosphere and the other customers were...
