Well, I had high hopes, but, I was overall disappointed. I really feel that there is a lot of heart in this place, but the Cajun Food was a big let down. I ordered a boil for two, everything was WAY over cooked, the shrimp was not only over cooked till completely white and firm, but also still had head on and had not been veined. The Crawfish was over cooked as well, and also very small (I will give sympathy due to a rough season) The Seafood Gumbo was more of an Indian spice than Cajun, bay leaves throughout. The shrimp on the Po Boy was overcooked as well, along with the chicken strips in the kids meal. The amount of Snow crab in the boil, advertised as a half pound, was not even one full cluster, and as previously stated, overcooked and nearly impossible to shell. The restaurant did look nice and clean in the dining area, and I was greeted in a friendly fashion from all that were there, it was a Sunday, and it was a carry out order. I did take all of that into perspective...
Read moreFloors were VERY sticky. Drinks had maybe 2 ice cubes. We put our order in at 7:15, didnât get our food til 8:30. Appetizer was Cajun fries, which literally was fries with a tiny sprinkle of seasoning served with tartar sauce. Alligator platter was way over cooked and some pieces werenât cooked all the way. Seafood platter had chicken strips that did NOT look like chicken whatsoever. Everything was over-battered. Etouffee tasted like it had hormel chili! Red beans & Rice had a strange square meat in it along with BBQ sauce?! A regular burger was dripping out blood but was cooked til the meat was black. The lady (owner?) apologized for the delay and said they only had 1 cook, but they only had us and another small family in there eating.
4 crappy meals for $95. We left all worried that we were going to be sick.
Weâll just stick to Wadeâs in Chandler -...
