Would give them 0 stars if I could. I tried really hard to purchase a 4’ stone remnant for a small countertop. Stopped by on a Friday to pick out small slab and left my information. I called back and left message on Monday with exact measurements as requested. No one called me back. Called again Wednesday, talked to Curtis, he said he would call back when he found paperwork, but he didn’t. Called again Friday, the day I was supposed to pick up. No response, no call back. Stopped by on my way home, surprise, it wasn’t ready, and talked to them again, mentioned lack of response all week and was absolutely promised it would be ready the following Friday. I called the following Friday afternoon to be sure it was ready and was told guy who knew which slab it was had been out sick all week, so no, it wasn’t ready. Apparently they were unable to call me and ask about the piece or let me know there was a problem. I told them they obviously did not need or want by business, so just forget it. The person on the phone offered to get owner, but having already talked to him, I said no thanks. The absolute lack of response to calls, messages and in person visits is astonishing. No follow up or communication at all. They lost a small sale today, but we are remodeling and are planning on new kitchen and bathroom countertops. I will definitely go somewhere else. Someplace with actual communication skills that delivers...
Read moreFirst off I will say the selection of rock and the installers were great, price was not great , but fair. My issue with them is they asked me to take MY sink in so they could cut the top exactly. Upon installation, they were about to put in a completely different sink, luckily I caught it as they now had to take the top back to re-cut for correct dimensions. The day I took them my sink I was required to put a 50% deposit down. On the invoice for sink it stated sink provided by Texas rock tops which was an error as the person who generated this invoice helped me carry in the sink and wrote my name on the box. Upon calling them, they admitted it was their error but because I signed the invoice it was considered a contract. After others had contacted them they said they would make it right and I’d be happy with the balance. Well if making it right is just to deduct less than the cost of the sink , then that’s what they consider right. Again, the finish and the install of their product is nice hence the 2 stars. But I honestly would NOT recommend them to anyone looking for countertops. Sorry Texas Rock tops cumby, you lost a customer and I hope others read this review as I wouldn’t want you to go through the...
Read moreKurtis and his company are phenomenal. We had been working for almost a year trying to remodel our church parsonage. The parsonage hadn't been updated since it was built in 1971. We were 6 months in and thousands of dollars over budget because of bad, unreliable contractors. We were frustrated and overwhelmed, and our pastor and his family were displaced for those months with no finish in sight. We had already made arrangements with Kurtis to put the counters in the kitchen and baths, and he was doing them at cost because we are a small church, and he saw the need. He was also donating all the sinks. When Kurtis learned the trouble we had been through, he stepped in to help us and get us in touch with the people we needed to get the remodel done quickly and correctly. He then took even more money off the total cost, taking money out of his own pocket to take care of our little church pastor's family. And the counters are gorgeous!!!! He put all the care into installing these gorgeous counters that he would have for a fully-paid job. Thus is the type of guy Kurtis is. I'll never go...
