My wife and I had been waiting for The Branding Iron to open as we had enjoyed many great meals in the original Branding Iron. It was the place we went for dates and both our families had celebrated birthdays and anniversaries there. We figured we would give them some time after they opened and let things get settled, etc. before we went. We went on July 6, a Saturday evening, we were not disappointed! Yes, there were a few things that were not perfect, but nothing that would prevent us from coming back. Our waitress was new, maybe even her first day, and was understandably a bit nervous, and we assured her that she was doing fine! We started with the fried cheese curds with a delicious roasted red pepper sauce, and we both had the soup of the day, which was the red pepper soup, and we both enjoyed it very much. For entrees I ordered the special, and my wife ordered the salmon with fresh slaw and pickled onions. It was about 15 minutes later when our waitress came and informed me that they had run out of the steak special, so I went with the Lemon Chicken Alfredo. Well, it was tasty, but I was hard pressed to taste any lemon in it at all, but the the pasta and the chicken were perfectly tender. My wife had the “River Wild” salmon, and she uses that to rate a restaurant. Perfectly cooked, tender, and not over cooked at all. The only thing she didn’t care for was that it still had the skin on it, but she would definitely order it again. Areas that can be improved are upgrading the bread service, two small dinner rolls just didn’t cut it, for the price of the meals, the quality of the bread served should be upgraded. Our drinks were never refilled, and this was on one of the hottest days we have had, and it was impossible to get our waitress attention to ask for more water. Yes, as I see mentioned in another review about the same time we were there, someone said it was warm in there. That didn’t surprise us any, between the intense heat outside and the crowded dining room, it being a bit warm was to be expected. Later that night I noticed a picture on Facebook showing an appetizer of watermelon with feta cheese, which we would have got had it been offered, but we were not told about it and it isn’t on the menu. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves, and we will definitely be back! As for our waitress, we have all been “the new person on the job” a few times, so I hope people showed her grace, my wife said she was doing a far better job than she could have done, and she will get the hang of it! We wanted to post pictures, but this doesn’t seem...
Read moreFirst time being at the restaurant tonight. I had the land of sea and my husband had to 8oz filet with rattlesnake butter. Both steals were cooked to perfection and didn't even need the knife to cut into it. They literally melted in your mouth. The shrimp was amazing and I saved it for my last bit. Enjoyed a few mixed drinks as well. Waitress was great and never left a dirty dish on our table or our glasses empty. Best steak and meal we have had it in a long time. We will definitely be back and bring family and...

Also 10 out of 10. We had the crab stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and they were soooo good! It’s wonderful to see a great place with amazing quality meat so close to home! Definitely...
