Been going there over 40 years with family. I will longer go back. Everyone coming in after got seated first. Wait staff all ignored us ( btw we are good tippers 25-30%) we waited almost an hour. When waitress finally made eye contact. I asked her how much longer? Because we had been waiting for almost an hour. She said no you haven’t. At the point I was going to argue with her, the food hasn’t been good there in years anyway. We took our Buisness to the boomerang for breakfast where they know how to treat customers!!! I would further add my family with me who live locally also agreed they would go back. It was agreed by all staff was incompetent and argument. I’d further add 1/2 the tables were empty. I counted 5 waitresses on staff and ten occupied tables. I used to wait tables a new server can easily handle 4-5 tables. They were making people wait so they didn’t have more that 2-3...

It had a table spoon of crumpled sausage floating on top. It was too bad to be a mix. Someone purposely created this sinister concoction. I loaded it with copious amounts of salt, black pepper and Cholula. Nothing helped. The flavors were absorbed, vanishing into the white abyss. So, just don’t order the cream gravy. The rest of the breakfast was decent. This is an Oklahoma oilfield town diner. A working man’s café. Apparently, it has been in operation for a number of years, judging from the volume of reviews. Some good some bad. The service seemed a little slow and disorganized. Overall, I rate it as a very average 4-star diner. Pictures of the meals look very good. But it didn’t make the cut for me. Before you go, call ahead and ask about...
Read moreWhen Trudy was alive, Homestead used to be one of my favorite places to eat breakfast. I'm a Cushing resident now, but several years ago, we would travel from Mannford to eat here. Since she's passed, not so much. Prices used to be great and portions were even better. I understand prices everywhere have went up, but don't raise prices and lower portion sizes. Don't charge me 1.60$ for ranch. Don't give me 15 french fries for 3.25$. And bring back the bowl of Dum-Dum sucker's at the register. It really is the little things that make a place great. I have contemplated leaving a review for awhile and haven't until today. My daughter and went for breakfast this morning...I paid 27$ for one pancake, 2 sides of fries, biscuits (2) w/ gravy (with a sprinkle of sausage) and 2 sodas...this is crazy to me. Please bring back the old Homestead, I really want to...
