Fantastic property with breakfast. I missed the early part but options left to grab and go were amazing. I had a late check in - staff was amazing! Personable and knowledgeable. Even told me goodnight!! The room was gorgeous, and incredibly clean. Comfortable bed (a little soft) - I got too cold so I will ask for an extra blanket next time. Bathroom was AMAZINGLY clean!! I actually took a BATH not just a shower, it was so clean! Room had fridge (minus freezer), microwave, coffee pot, hairdryer and an iron. Coffee pot and iron worked great, I didn’t use others. I couldn’t find any charging ports on anything but luckily had brought my own wall charger. I was on third floor and the heat in the hallway took my breath away and will know for next time. I can’t say enough how incredibly friendly the staff was! I mentioned the lady who checked me in but also the room keepers and the lady who processed my checkout were beyond hospitable! I was at first concerned a little for the safety of my vehicle and me just in general because of being a female, alone, super late at night and the convenience store across the street had numerous unsavory characters loitering. In the city you would have thought you ended up in the wrong neighborhood…but I saw local police patrolling and then the overall presence of the inside of facility and staff washed away that bit of anxiety that had creeped in. The absolute ONLY thing that prevented me from giving a full 5 stars is that the carpets were sticky and on my bare feet and actually turned them a little blackish. I simply washed my feet again. I understand this to be oilfield country and can only imagine what it would take to keep high traffic areas clean. For the price per night I think offering complimentary cheap shower shoes or slippers wouldn’t be too much to ask OR even having them for sale in their little “store” (which I forgot to mention). I didn’t utilize it (the “store”) but they have a corner area where they you can buy snacks and/or items you may have forgotten to bring, toothpaste, laundry soap, phone cords etc. The room itself was stocked with mini shampoo/conditioner and body and face soap bars. This stay was a last minute decision for me - and a bit costly but I highly recommend it — property even has a fitness room. They did not have a weekly rate or any long term rates. Cost was around $120 plus taxes for me in a room with one bed. I don’t know what their normal rates are. I did think it was a little pricey as I checked in way after midnight—maybe should offer a discounted rate on late check ins. I definitely will stay again if the need arises. Whomever the owner is has done a fantastic job with this property and should commend their staff. Even the room keeper (a younger, taller lady) offered EXCELLENT customer service! Give these...
Read moreThis is a mixed review.....Staff was great and accomidating to our needs for the most part. I did give 3 stars though for a few reasons. I really almost gave this 4 stars but, I really couldn’t for all of the negatives. Negatives:
We travel often, and this was an emergency stop along our travels. The room and hotel look decent and the staff seem friendly enough but that is where the good things I can say stop. The jet tub in our room shot sand out of the jets. We tried to clean it 3 times and still sand and more sand. The shower curtain is too short, and water goes all over the floor no matter how you put the curtain or the shower head. The ac units don't blow hard w heat or ac and barely blow. At 4am, the refrigerator started making an ungodly noise that woke us all from our sleep, and I had to pull the fridge out and unplug it entirely. The toilet then clogged from urine, not even a number two, and I called the front office, and they said they'd fix it. 30 minutes later no one shows up and my 7 year old needs to use the restroom so my wife goes to the front desk with our 7 year old daughter and asks where the restroom out there is and if they are going to fix our toilet. The front desk says no maintenance on the weekend but then comes up and plunges it herself. They just expected us to go without a working toilet. We got out of there as early as possible. They tried to get us to stay for breakfast, but after this experience, I wasn't going to dare try the food. I not only won't stay at a best Western again in my life, but I will make the 30-minute drive to Stillwater to stay at a decent hotel. Oh, and after all this, they discounted the room by only 30 dollars...
