Ordered 10/12/18 for delivery to a place that I'm working at, where I cannot leave due to my vocation, for dinner. Asked if I could try their jumbo wings (first time placing an order) breaded, instead of just plain. They said no problem. Also ordered two jumbo gyros. Called back a few minutes later and asked if they had cups of ice. They said no. No biggie. Total was given was correct (based off of advertised menu online), and they delivered the order much quicker than quoted. Driver was friendly, courteous, and asked I had been the one to ask about the cup of ice, and said that if he had known, he would have gotten some along the way. Without me saying anything about it. He offered to go get some, and I took him up on the offer, with what I hope was a nice enough tip. He came right back with it, and I was really happy. Thanks Driver!
As for the food? The order was correct, and the wings were really damned good. Even without any sauce (I ordered some ranch on the side), they had a pretty tasty flavor. Maybe some light garlic and spices tossed in with the breading? I was starting to get stuffed already, and could only eat one of the Jumbo Gyros. Man, it was pretty good too! They actually put the Tzatziki (say it five times fast!) sauce on the gyro, unlike some other places that "specialize" in gyros. Seriously, save a cup other places! The tomatoes and the onions were to me the right amount, as to not offend the hell out of anyone within ten feet of you breathing. The pita bread was soft, but enough to hold everything together, not hard/brittle. The gyro meat was pretty good too, didn't seem like you were eating really greasy stuff, it wasn't hard or burnt, and pretty flavorful. I don't recall any lettuce, but I think maybe they're trying to figure out how to keep it well and/or having supply issues based on previous reviews? It didn't matter, the gyro was so fat and packed full of meat, there probably wouldn't have been any room left!

Read moreWhat happened to the old Athena’s? I don’t know if the 2 guys working here are the owners but they definitely need to work on their people skills. Tried calling and no answer, been trying for months actually, I thought they went out of business due to Covid. So I drive there to see if they’re open and yes, they are. I go in to place my order, thought the guy was just going to ignore me but I think the other one said something so he came over and took my order. As I’m walking out to my car the phone starts ringing, I didn’t hear anyone answer it. So if you want anything from Athena’s, I suggest going there or using GrubHub, DoorDash, etc..
Okay..they are the owners and after speaking with one of them, I have a better understanding of what’s going on. There’s only one of them there during the week. HE is the only person working, they have no employees, therefore no one to answer the phone and help! That being said, I probably wouldn’t have the sunniest personality either.. but the food...
Read moreAthena’s Pizza is hands down the best place in town to grab a slice (or a whole pie) of perfection! From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted with smiles and warmth from their incredible staff. They’re always super friendly, cheerful, and make you feel like family. It’s clear they take pride in making every customer’s experience top-notch.
And the food? Absolutely amazing! Every bite of their pizza is bursting with flavor, with perfectly crispy crusts, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. Their menu has something for everyone, whether you’re craving a classic pepperoni or something more adventurous. Don’t even get me started on their gyros and mozzarella sticks —they’re out of this world!
Athena’s Pizza isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a community staple. The service, and the incredible food make it a place you’ll want to return to again and again. Highly recommend! Five stars all...
