We held a wonderful engagement party for our son and future daughter-in-law this past Saturday, October 19, 2024. The weather was perfect for this time of year and the venue's ambiance was uniquely special for our moderately-sized gathering. Steven and his team of Jesse, Christopher, Shannon, and Alana, made sure every detail was taken care of so my husband and I could enjoy the evening, stress free.
Plenty of on-site parking Cute sign (outside) announcing the engagement, which was surrounded by fall decor (pumpkins, mums, etc.) Lovely centerpieces Musician - Steve Howell - such a nice surprise and really added to the atmosphere of the event 60 plus attendees who could mingle on the main floor, upstairs, and even outside in the evening since the weather on Oct 19 was spectacular We did not expect attendees to bring gifts but ended up needing space for them. Jesse was so accommodating to make the space for these. Amazing food selection which was prepared by Christopher and his team - he is a talented chef!
We also provided our guests with an open bar of The Wine Mill's 9 house wines and craft beers along with The Wine Mill's current signature cocktail 'Love Struck' Apple Cider Punch in mason jars. Jesse, Shannon, and Alana made sure our guests were well taken care of.
Steven allowed us to bring dessert (typically he can arrange cakes or pies if his client would like to provide dessert). The happy couple loves cookies, so we went with C&J Best Bakes LLC for customized cookies. They were lovely and made a nice accompaniment to the food and drink that The Wine Mill provided.
We received many compliments from our guests on the location, food, and drink. Definitely a very positive experience.
My only regret is that I did not take any photos of the food!

Read moreThe Wine Mill has been one of our go-to date night places since shortly after it opened. They have fantastic food, a comfortable rustic-chic atmosphere, and great service. What more could we want? When we got engaged, this was the first place we called for our wedding. After meeting with The Wine Mill’s managing partner, Steven, it was a no brainer. We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Wine Mill on November 11th and it couldn’t have been any more perfect. Steven, Brad and The Wine Mill staff went above and beyond for us every step of the way. From day one, Steven kept telling us that his goal was to make our wedding as stress-free as possible and that is exactly what he did. They will do as much or as little as you want them to do. Steven took care of everything, including flowers! He would have also arranged for a photographer, band, and cake, but we opted to find our own. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and flawlessly executed by Steven and his staff. We had originally planned to have the ceremony outside in front of the Mill, but due to a dramatic drop in temperatures shortly before the wedding, we opted to have both the ceremony and reception inside. It was perfect. We had just over 100 guests - everyone fit very comfortably on the first floor for the ceremony (some sitting, some standing), and then spread between the two floors for the reception. We had stations for dinner and the food was excellent - our guests RAVED about how good everything tasted, too. It was a fun, relaxed wedding, full of love and celebration. The Wine Mill was the perfect venue for a crowd of our size and the rustic chic, intimate wedding that we wanted to have. I cannot say enough positive things about The Wine Mill and our experience there. I would highly encourage anyone who is considering hosting their wedding (or any other type of event) at The Wine Mill to do so - you will not be...
Read moreI want to first say that I do love the Wine Mill. The atmosphere is rustic and when they have live music it's really nice. The wines are good and they are slightly pricey but pretty similar to other wineries in price. I am strictly reviewing a brunch that I went to today. It was not great. I will be back at the wine Mill but would rather go on a regular night or day. For starters ... There was only one girl working. She was really sweet and it was not her fault, but often the soup bowls weren't replenished, the food was not replenished, the champagne was not replenished, etc. it was $28 per person which is a great price if there were actual good food choices. It look like something they threw together last minute.Seating is between 1 and 1:30. I got there at 1:15 and the food was already picked over. I had called ahead of time to make sure there would be choices without dairy because I know cheeses are a big deal at wineries. I was assured that there would be choices. There was lettuce. Literally the salad was just lettuce. There were grapes. And there were some vegetables with hummus. There was a turkey wrap of some sort that I ate and took off the cheese but there was no flavor to it whatsoever.I was really surprised by this because if you go there on a normal night and order their food is pretty tasty. This seemed like they took what was left over for the week and just threw it out on the table. On top of that... The event was supposed to go on until 3:30 or 4. At 3 they made it brighter in the place and started taking all the food away and people started getting up and asking for their bill because I think they felt uncomfortable like they had to leave. So again... The wine Mill is great on a typical evening. I would not recommend the special events. This was only my first one but I would be...
