Went there for lunch today with a group of 12 -14 people. I ordered the lobster bisque and a panini that said it had tomatoes, mushrooms and roasted chicken. What I got was a cup of creamy soup that didn't taste like lobster at all and a terrible sandwich (that I sent back) with two small pieces of tomato, a decent amount of mushrooms and what looked to be 3 thin pieces of chicken lunch meat. Disgusting and absolutely NOT worth almost $13. The lady next to me ordered a combo that included a salad that was actually a small pile of cheap iceberg lettuce with some nondescript dressing. Again, disgusting and not worth the price of admission. Another person had their quiche, which actually looked good, brought to them cold? Who does that? Another issue was, even though there was only 1 other table there and we did have a reservation, it took almost an hour for some of the folks I was with to get their food. Something that was ordered as an appetizer was brought out after several folks had finished eating. I hate to see a locally owned restaurant fail but, get your act together. I definitely won't be back.

Editing my review to add that "Disgusting" was completely warranted. I was expecting roasted chicken that was cooked by the restaurant. I actually thought there was no chicken at all and when I opened the sandwich to look, I found the 3 slices of cheap disgusting lunch meat. That is disgusting, especially when you're charging almost $13 dollars for what you say is one of your most popular items.

Also, other people were complaining about the food, just not to your staff but it was definitely widely discussed at the table. No one actually liked the overpriced lobster bisque that tasted like tomato cream and not like lobster at all and what passed for a salad was downright pathetic.

Also, my timing on how long the last orders took to come out was pretty close. I got there at 1:25 and left at 2:32 (I made a phone call when I got in my car to my husband to tell him about my very disappointing meal so I'm sure of the time) and 3 of our group had just gotten...

We’ve been for dinner as well as the more breakfast/lunch foods now. Lunch was great, we did have a few suggestions for the dinner time.

Atmosphere is cute - nice and quiet. Service was excellent each time!

Dinner: Cheese tray Steak & Gratin Dauphinois: steak was a little over-cooked in our opinion, gratin was delicious. A little side salad (like the sandwiches come with) or simple veggie would help elevate the plate Members in the group also had the Frikadellen & Kartoffelwürfel as well as the Sauerkraut & Bratwurst. My grandma didn’t like a condiment in the bratwurst, but she is a little picky on that. She’s more used to a white-colored bratwurst when she lived in Germany. I didn’t mind the spice as much when I tried a bite. My dad enjoyed his Frikadellen & Kartoffelwürfel

Lunch: Cappuccino Butter croissant: good! Glad it wasn’t super buttery/greasy on the outside as I sometimes find at other places French Onion Soup Quiche Florentine Slice with side salad: very tasty, per my mom. Yes it’s not as tall as some places (reading other reviews), but it was still a wide slice and good flavor. Satisfying Croque Madame: great! I remember eating this so much when I went to Paris as a teen 😅 brought back my memories. Big portion

Idea: I work from home and would be interested in sometimes coming here for lunch or an afternoon coffee and panini/croissant to do some work on my laptop and get out of the house. Not sure if Mona’s is open to that, but I’d come if they are! Right now Cafe Zun Zun on Telge is the only place filling that role for me, but they don’t have...

If I could give a negative star for this category I would! I came in to order my food to-go. I requested a french onion soup, however I was advised the soup is too hot to be served in a to-go container. Therefore, I placed my to-go order and waited for the soup to be ready to eat at the restaurant. Once the to-go order was ready, your host attempted to serve the soup in your lobby waiting area. I asked where can I go to eat this? Your hostess, without blinking an eye said rudely and suggested for me to sit outside to eat the soup outside. Puzzled by the response, I asked why would I sit outside and you not find a table for me inside like the others? He replied with the snide remark that since I ordered my food to go, that's where i should be outside. This is highly offensive and demeaning to say. I am appalled and disgusted someone like this is the front facing hostess in your establishment. He said it with malice. It was as if to suggest that I do no belong inside and should eat outside like a dog. I left the restaurant without taking a bite and will not return. I expect a refund as he stated he would give me as I walked out. Additionally, the to-go food fell short with soggy fries and the...

5/5 - its a comforting, humble, happy and good overseas experience. Will return and will definitely sit in the cute home designed booths Food - great! Super authentic in flavor profile, you can taste the homemade nature of it, it wasn't out of a can or box. Cheese plate had a super good selection, and I'm not a big cheese guy. French onion soup wasn't overly salted like other places, giant amount of onions and cheese. German meatballs were homey and cozy, beef stew was homemade and super comforting! Vitamin boost juice was refreshing and thr ingredients mixed well (normally ginger is too spicy in a drink but this was healthy and light). Ambience - super cute, there is an open dining area, cozy little rooms on the side and then SUPER CUTE little dining areas, these are designed like parts of houses, so you could eat in a pretty kitchen on the island, or in a rustic set piece Service - friendly, attentive and cozy, the owner was super nice and kept up with us as we sped up and slowed down on different parts of the meal

We tried to reserve a table for 9:30 on a Friday night, but the kitchen closes at 9:30, so we got there at 9:00 p.m. The atmosphere was adorable and nice, very French country chic. The service was great from Mona herself. Mona is both French and German, and her husband, the cook, is French. The food was absolutely fantastic! We both got enough to eat, and the desserts were scrumptious. I had the beef Bolognese meal, which came with a glass of a wonderful Bordeaux wine and an apple tart for dessert. The first bite of the apple tart was OMG!! Halfway through, I literally had tears in my eyes - it was that good!! My husband got the crepe Norvegienne with a wonderful glass of white wine and a piece of apple cake. We found out they do wine-tastings!!!!
