Food is great, however twice now the lady at the front has been completely unprofessional. I came with a party a few weeks back and ordered a dish you can get at almost any restaurant. The gentleman brought my food with zero issues. Friday I called to place a pickup order of this menu item and was told they don’t have that. I explained I was just there a few weeks ago and ordered it. She said they don’t have it so I ordered something else. My husband went to pickup and she was rude towards him when all he did was ask if he could change one of the items he ordered. HE WAS STILL WILLING TO OAY FOR THE OTHER ITEM. She threw the food in the trash and gave him a meal we did not order and I couldn’t even eat. Tonight I call to do a pickup of just something simple but asked again if they had the menu item I really wanted. She said no so I placed my order anyway for something else. She calls back and tells me “are you talking about this because I told your husband that we don’t have it and he yelled at Me” and I said no and explained to her exactly what I ordered and what it was and she said “well do you still want this order or do you want me to throw this one away too?” I explained she did not have to be rude as all I did was ask and explain I had gotten the menu item from her restaurant just a week or so ago. She said “okay well I have your phone number written down so I know it’s you when you call so I know it was your husband who came in the other night” to which I responded that she did not have to be disrespectful because I could take my business elsewhere.

All of this over a simple question. And we were willing to pay for the meal she threw away!...

Arrived at 2:20. They took my drink order, and brought me chips after I sat down.

2:35. No drink. No waiter. Let’s see how this goes…

2:45. I’m almost done with the salsa, but no drink. I’ve decided to pace myself.

2:52. I’ve fortified my defenses with condiments rank and file. Digging in for the unforeseeable future here. I wonder if my condiment wall will draw attention?…

2:58. The wall worked! One of the servers looked at me like maybe he knew me from high school, and asked if anyone had taken my drink order yet. I ordered the Fajitas Texanas. Hopefully, the food is good (salsa & chips were okay, btw).

3:05. Food has arrived.

3:12. Fajitas are tasty. Nothing spectacular, but the hot plate is seasoned well. The refried beans and rice are VERY bland, and lack overall taste. The immediate impression is that they’ve added too much water to the beans (typical for food cost savings, but they have a very diluted product here).

Sidenote: I’ve been battling flies at my table since the food came. Just adds to the experience.

I was hoping the food would pull them up from the initial wait. So far, no manager has come (I didn’t ask, but they don’t exactly get points for lack of managerial effort here either).

Oh well.

15:23. Got my hot plate to go. 1 extra star given after learning the meal was comped by the manager (though the manager did not deliver the message herself). Lack of pride in...

The food here is terrible. I don’t even understand how they could make it taste so bad. I am Hispanic and have eaten lots of Mexican food my whole life. I have never had Mexican food this bad. We got the buffet since we came with a group. I had the quesadillas, enchiladas, bean and rice. I took one bite and almost couldn’t swallow. The cheese taste like cheese you buy in gallon buckets, store in a pantry with an expiration date of 2090. It didn’t even taste like cheese. Then the enchilada were filled with weird meat and covered with a weird topping. I took two bites and had to stop. The rice and beans were flavorless. Tasted like they were cooked in tap water. I left so annoyed and almost refused to pay for my bill. My husband showed me that we basically paid nothing for the meal so it was pointless to fight. Explains the terrible ingredients. I also almost fell when walking back from the bathroom because the floor was slippery as if oil was spilt. I had my child in my arms and that made me really angry. Complete carelessness all around. This is not authentic Mexican food. I’d leave zero stars if I could. Save your money and...

El Mariachi in Daleville is a vibrant and lively restaurant that elevates the buffet experience. Their commitment to freshness shines through, with dishes constantly being prepared and replenished. The diverse selection extends to a tempting dessert bar, where a standout treat awaits: warm apple compote nestled within delicate pastry, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar, then drizzled with honey—a true delight. Beyond the culinary offerings, El Mariachi's ambiance is a feast for the eyes. The colorful decor, eye-catching table settings, and captivating wall art create a festive atmosphere that enhances any meal. Cleanliness is clearly a priority, making every visit comfortable and enjoyable. For a truly satisfying buffet experience with a delightful Mexican twist, El Mariachi is a must-try in Daleville.
