Apologies, in advance, for the long review. We just really appreciate this new, local addition in dining choices.
Cedar and Vine. My husband and I have been a few times, in a short span...because these folks are really skilled at delivering a relaxing-fun dining experience. We were eager to try it out, and had been watching the space transform as we would passed the intersection over the building phase. Itâs a great location. Easy to get to. Terrific ambiance. Itâs a comfortably-spacious, though, not expansive space, complete with nice patio seating and toasty heaters. We decided to have dinner at the bar on our first visit. It was a really nice change of pace to our norm of âtable dwellingâ. Dining tables are set for a couple, a couple of couples, and, good room/booth seating for larger parties. The vibe is laid back, but, still, energized. The decor is rustic-industrial, contemporary with the right amount of âsleekâ to well serve as date night or girlâs night, in tandem to be welcoming to patrons -who, as life would have it- need to combine both occasions with tots in tow. The staff is professional, friendly, and invests their energy toward your enjoyment of the environment, tastily-inventive menu, and the righteous mixology churninâ from the bar. House made deviled eggs appetizer -creamy, zesty, sinful YUM. Lamb Meatballs...crunchy-savory omgoodness. Sandwiches: Weâve had the C&V burger, the Chicken Sandwich -both, fresh and flavor/texture-rich. The larger entrees weâve tried have been spot on, too. Parmesan Crusted Chicken is in competition, for me, at this point, with the Flat Iron steak. Got to be some culinary sorcery there. Iâve rarely, if ever, had that cut of beef and it be fork tender, in addition to flavoragious. But, it is that. And, the salmon is buttery, melt-in-mouth moist. Some side selections are creative choices, off the beaten path. But, not, as in, you hesitate because they seem âtooâ far out - fried brussel sprouts, charred broccolini are so good. Their sides compliment any of their entrees. We still have menu selections to try, and so looking forward to it. We appreciate the Goldielocks principle regarding the portion size to price ratio. âIt is just rightâ. Cedar and Vine, quickly, becoming âour placeâ. Special compliments and thanks to C&V bartenders who, enthusiastically, instructed us on components, and encouraged our goal of having the Cedar 76 cocktail âhome versionâ. A cocktail that serves to give us a little taste of our favorite place in...
Read moreFirst time visiting this cute little spot. We went on a Thursday around 1pm so it was not packed, no wait all. Once seated the server (also the barrender) walked right off. No menu reference, no specials. Nothing! I was immediately worried. When she came back with water I guess she noticed we clearly looked like deers in headlights. She then pointed out a little QR card and says the menu is there. We were at a long high top table. Could seat maybe 10-12....there were only 2 of us. No way would have noticed a 2 inch card 8 chairs down. We ordered 2 Blackberry Mimosas to start. Thank goodness they were AMAZING!! Fresh Blackberry Puree topped with Champagne đŸ so good. To eat, we both ordered the special that came with 2 crab cakes, salad, and fries. Server didn't deliver our food which is totally fine, but she never once checked us. I actually had to get up and ask for my salad dressing. That aside....this was one of the freshest tasting meals I've had in a long time. The salad greens were so fresh and crisp. So good. The crab cakes? Hands down some of the BEST I have ever eaten. The were full of huge chucnks of crab meat. Flavored and fried perfectly. Absolutely made up for the lack of interaction from the server. We will for sure be back again and again. The crab cakes were amazing. I can't wait to...
Read moreThis was probably the worst service Iâve ever received!!!! First, it took 20 minutes for someone to come to our table to introduce themselves. Jay finally came to get drinks which we also put a food order since we waited a while & knew what we wanted. Once we received our food, we realized we never had utensils so we had to ask. The food was amazing, itâs a shame the service got worse after that. Jay never even stop by once to check up on us. After eating, we sat there for another 15 minutes waiting for Jay to come back as we were ready for a check at that point. We wanted another drink but because we waited so long, we decided to just leave. He never even came back to ask how dinner was or if we wanted to see the dessert menu. Finally I grabbed another server to grab our check. A co-worker and I flew in from Chicago on a business trip and we were dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt after just coming off work. Maybe if we dressed up a little bit the service wouldâve been a little better. But to make things worse, a group of 20 people sat next to us who knew the co-owner and there were multiple people who kept going to that table. Drinks were amazing, food was great but Jay and team made the experience...
