I have been a patron of D'ventures Restaurant & Club for 30+ years and I can honestly say that this is the place to be, Thinking back to my 1st time visiting D'ventures and I saw an all so Familiar face, I visited I the 80's and they had just got up and running but I had the pleasure of meeting Shanequia/ Barbara Dismukes Aunt and even though I'm really bad with names I never forget a face especially when it pertains the most warming and pleasant/ effectuous smile. Although their not doing seating in the Restaurant/club they are doing carside/curbside orders. The service was next to none all while being fast and courteous. My waitress was actually a niece and when I say On Point I mean just that, no more no less. I just love this place and I was taken aback when u mentioned that I had gotten food from D'ventures my friend recalled my 22nd Birthday Party that D'ventures housed and even though it made me reflect back on younger years, D'ventures is a worthy staple in the community and everyone is treated as such, Like FAMILY... I ordered the Fried Pork Chop Dinner with Yams, Mac N Cheese Casserole, & Cabbage. The Pork Chops were Fried to Perfection & Seasoned well.. However, Next time I will ask for a little more Seasoning on mines, but not salt. The Yams were Absolutely on POINT!!Meaning Sugar & Buttered Perfectly. The Cabbage was seasoned Great. However, the Mac N Cheese didn't taste like real Cheese. It taste kinda Powered & was a bit watery- It was not baked in the oven, it was definitely on the StoveTop. I am a Food Critic and I will definitely be going back to try the Mac Casserole to see if it is any better! Furthermore, I gave them 5 Stars, because The Lady that bought our food out to the car was very Polite, Professional and Friendly. The greens where poor prep they weren’t cut or cleaned all I could taste was crunchy grit poor trash. The chitterlings were also not cleaned and were huge pieces the yams trash The dressing was stuffing was served cold muffins yams taste contaminated nothing about this place is right They literally serving food out the front door which automatically made me feel they had something to hide sign on door no refund no exchange certain foods you had to pay cash over special like it was a third party involved and the lady at the door was rude had no courtesy or customer service SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN the only reason I went because of the reviews which are false never had food so worse with worser customer service this was a highway robbery 33$ a plate for food I wouldn’t feed my dog went str8 to the trash can. I knew I wasn’t getting my money back but I couldn’t let no one else be a victim.
