HEY YOU GUYS I WRITE THIS IN CAPITAL LETTERS HOPE YOU READ MY EXPERIENCE. My father suffered from heart failure and has yet to recooperate . In fact on Labor day of this review we was on a road trip to Mississippi and he was hospitalized the moment we got there and they wanted to keep him but he is a veteran and we wanted him home. So on my drive into the VA he insists on Soulmans. Which I thought nothing of it. Yet the ER doctor at the VA suggested since he needs to eat from the terrible trip I suggest pay attention to certain things to reduce his water levels and salt and soduim is one of them This PIT BOSS. Had one on the doctor..... Do not get me wrong this ER doctor gave a throughly evaluade my father However The pit boss won this one guys I get to Soul Mans He breaks it down for me
No our brisket with no fats Is lowest in salt content period.... Head up to this guy Did not catch his name at this location... But even Doc was impressed when they broke it down for us I guess now days health is important... And when it came down to getting my dad something healthy This guy brought on facts from there fact sheet. And actually knew what he was talking about.... Pretty impressive guys I get back to the hospital and Dad is raising hell about his minor serving... They tell him he has 1000 times the maxuim water his body can handle to be even close to healthy So my decision to pay attention the doctor also saying some thing and then these guys Hey we EXPECT IT FROM DOC RIGHT BUT THIS WAS THE PIT BOSS.. very good SOUL MANS FOLLOW UP ON MY REVIEW My father is recuperating very well I do want to lift up the Pit Boss At this Location Merry Christmas to...
Read moreThis place came highly recommended by my Uncle W. He was a truck driver for 30+ years so the way I see it he knows a thing or two about where to eat. He said it was "the best BBQ he's ever had". I figured those were some mighty tall words so I had to see if he was right. Two days later and here we are. Just as I was getting on Google to see where the nearest location was we came to a stop light. I looked up and there it was. It turns out our next pickup location was a mile and a half away but we were pressed for time so we couldn't stop. I was super disappointed because I felt something pulling me there. Then the security guard comes up and tells us our trailer won't be ready for another hour and a half. Now something was really telling me to go there. So we went. We walked in and was greeted by a friendly crew who made me "the best BBQ I've ever had". We got the pulled pork and the half chicken. And just as we were placing our order this wonderful woman shows up from the back with a fresh pan of fried cabbage. It was well worth the fit I almost had to throw to try this place out. The food was excellent but my favorite part, by far, was the gospel music that was playing. Apparently we had a dinner date with God. Thank you for hosting. ♥️ P.S. There is no room for semis at this location (but Uncle W says there is at others) unless you are bobtailing but there is a truck stop across the street. P.S.S. Please open one in Indiana so my...
Read moreI usually love Soulman's. This is the only location I frequent. Since they've reopened, and the staff has changed, you don't get the same service. The new guy cutting the meat would've cared less about what I was asking about the kids' plates, and he was speaking so lowly, even when I was raising my voice and politely asking, "Come again?" or "Beg pardon?" We were standing more than six feet apart and it was loud in there. My husband had to lean in closer to get the gist of what he said, which was, "Any menue meat"?? I had to pause because that answer didn't fit what I was asking. If they were busy, I would understand his lack of service or words for that matter, but there was literally only a small family of three, sitting and eating. The rest of the line wasn't as welcoming either. The only person that provided good service was a young Black girl at the cash register. Now, she went above and beyond by offering a box and cupholders, making sure we didn't need or want to try anything else, and her smile and upbeat attitude told me that this place at least still has a little humanity left. I was so disappointed. This place was a really good environment with quality food and service. I hope they can get back to it. But this is why we leave reviews: so that companies can strive for better. For a family order of $80, I really hope I can get more than one person being polite when...
