Food was delicious!! I've been wanting to go inside and try their food for a long time. I've previously tried their egg rolls which are unique in the sense that they use rice paper for the wrapper and fry it, giving it a different type of texture and taste than your typical egg roll you'd find at places like bistro B. Their egg rolls are delicious, perfectly crispy, and have great filling. I could definitely eat like 10 in a row. And they make them free to order so they're piping hot when they come to you, even better!!! I ordered: combination pho (pho Dac Biet), shaken beef rice (com bo buc lac), com tam 7 mon (rice with 7 different items/meat), bun Dac Biet 5 Mon (vermicelli with 5 meats), and their Vietnamese coffee. I would say their Vietnamese coffee was ok, but I've had better. The pho was delicious and the broth was so flavorful. I would say it's comparable to pho bac! They gave plenty of meat and the quantity was large for such a great price! The rice dishes were good and again, had plenty of juicy meat. The Vermicelli was CRAZY how much they gave!!! Honestly this one was totally worth it. It was so much my family couldn't finish it and even brought the rest to go home. There were so many noodles and lots of meat, such a great deal. It came with an egg roll which was mouth salivating. I 100% am coming back and I've already recommended them to many people. If you try one thing from them, it's gotta be their egg rolls!

Their combo rice dishes are pretty good and come with a little bit of everything. Bun rieu is good but taste better if you add fish sauce which I like because you can control the seasoning on your own. Egg rolls - I’ll prolly skipped these next time. Fried hen with rice is yummy! Their Vietnamese dessert Che 3 mau (3 color dessert) is good. The lady up front is always nice! It’s ma and pop shop so I don’t they deserve the 1 star during these covid times that someone in a previous review left. My personal opinion. Vietnamese people for the most part are pretty honest. If they tell you certain foods will take longer, chances are it’s out and it probably will take longer. I don’t think they’re laughing at anyone with bad intentions - sometimes it could be a language barrier and the easiest way to handle something you can’t understand is to laugh or smile…lol. The culture is different. They laugh at different things. I’ve seen white, Mexican and black people all dine here and no one has even been laughed at or treated rudely.

I'm not a person that usually writes reviews but I thought our experience was worth sharing. This place came highly recommended from our neighbors as we just recently moved in the nearby neighborhood. Two weeks ago we decided to try it out. We arrived at restaurant about 7:45 (the sign on door says they close at 8). They were quite busy and we were immediately turned away by a young man working, saying they were only taking to go orders. At the time we just blow it off as they were very busy. So, tonight we decided to give it another try. When we arrived around 7:30, only three tables were filled so we immediately got seated and ordered. About 7:40, a family of 4 or 5 came in and were refused to be seated by the same young man that had turned us away. The restaurant was clearly not busy. They left as the father remarked at "how ridiculous" that was. About 5 min later he returned voicing his frustration. Apparently it was his son's 18th birthday and this is where he wanted to have his birthday dinner. He also said that they frequently ate there and that they would not be returning. And that they should let the owner know this. And during his rant, 4 or 5 restaurant employees just stared at him, no response, no apology, not a single word or gesture. I was definitely bothered by this so after we ate, I let our waiter know that this had happened to us two weeks earlier and that it was "ridiculous". He just blamed the young man claiming that he's new. And when I told him he had done the same to us, again he claimed that he was new and doesn't listen. It's a darn shame because the food was quite good, however we will never go back. So, if you want to eat here, better show up an hour...
