Las Huastecas — Restaurant in Dallas

I was there on Friday the 18th of July and I was attended buy a server named Carmen. She looked as if she had attitude. She sat us down and walked away and came back 10 minutes later and asked what we wanted to drink. Felt it was too ling of a wait. I understand it was packed that day too. I gave her a chance to redeem and moved on to ordering. As she looked like she was frustrated with us as to we asked what was is the ingredients. Anywho she took our order. She very flirty with my husband too. Made me wanna tell her something but I held back. Anyways we got our food and then she never came back to ask for refills or if anything was needed. Instead another server named Diana ( i asked her for her name) and she helped us. She was sweet and kind. We also waited for Carmen to give us our ticket but she never came back again after and again I stopped Diana and asked her if she could help us and she directed us to the front as we paid there. Now tips were where they were deserved Carmen recieved no tip and my husband said to give that tip to Diana since she helped more that day. Sorry not sorry but come on talk to your workers if yall want...

I went there today to get breakfast to go. A simple order which consisted of menudo, barbacoa and tortillas. I understand there's a wait I never complain about that. But then I saw people putting in their orders as they got there and they were getting their orders before I did and they were much bigger orders. So 30-45 minutes passes by and I told my brother can you go ask them what's going on with the order? So he did. The ladies like oh I'm going to get it ready for you now. I'm like so we've been waiting at that whole time for nothing. Mind you I always get to go orders. Also that little boy in the front that takes orders needs an attitude adjustment. Also as we were waiting for the order we sat in a booth that was not occupied as other customers that were waiting for their order did as well. The waitress only came up to us talking about we had to move to the bench if we are not dining in. My thing is why did you only come tell us and not the other people. There was plenty of open booths. She was super cocky and rude. I think it's time to find a new...

Tenía años viniendo aquí, pero esta ves fue pezima la experiencia, el menudo no estaba bien hecho le falto por cocer bien, pedimos dos y no no lo pudimos comer por obvias razones no sabía a nada solo a sal con agua y chile. Le falto por estar pero pues lo tienen que sacar para servir porque la gente lo pide, lo regresamos les dijimos la razones, regresa la mesera (súper amable eso si) que el cocinero dijo que si estaba bien cocido, que no podían aceptar la devolución . No me van a hacer comer o aceptar algo que no me gusto y que no esta bien cocido. Le dije que estaba bien que de todos modos no lo quería no no lo íbamos a comer, al pagar le dije a la cajera que regresamos los menudos que no se me Asia justo pagar por algo que ni siquiera me comí, lo regresamos igual de lleno unas cucharadas menos pero el plato lleno, me dicen que los cocineros y las cajeras lo probaron y que si estaba bien hecho y bien cocido y que lo tenía que pagar. Como dije años viniendo aquí, yo se como hacen el menudo súper rico so no es que lo hagan así, pero en fin no hiba seguir discutiendo $20 por los menudos. Termine pagando pero en realidad que mal momento, lamentablemente una mala experiencia arruina un lugar que me encantaba y siempre recomendaba.

Worst experience in a long time, we’ve been coming here for years. I’m talking since across the street, would consider our selfs regulars. Usually we always get the menudo and it’s usually really good, not this time it wasn’t really cooked fully you could see the caldo was super light color and the oil was not sticking to the food, water consistency normally it’s a little tick you know menudo tick anyways it wasn’t cooked right we did not like it so we sent it back, the waitress comes back stating the cook said it was cooked and couldn’t accept it back, I’m not bout to eat something is not done right and I did not like there is no way someone going to make me eat something I don’t like, thanked her because she was super nice and understanding, she felt bad because well we did not eat nothing of the menudo but 3 spoonfuls and right away we said nope it’s not done right. Anyways we go to pay explained we sent it back and didn’t think it was fair for something we did not eat not even 1/4 of and 2 we did not liked. Cashier stated that the cook said it was done right that they tasted it, the cashier tasted it and it was cooked fine. I explained it was not, to the regular standards they normally have it was not, maybe 30 more min in the stove and it would be done but nope not yet anyways was not bout to argue more for $20 hard earned dollars. Payed my bill in full, yes still tipped my waitress but will not be returning nor recommending like I said worst experience in a long time, I mean since when does a restaurant make you eat something you don’t like & not accept the food being sent back.
