The POT baked potato bar — Restaurant in Dallas

I first saw this place on Instagram and said I have to try it out. About a month later there was a feature story on the news. After that I knew I had to go try it out asap. Let me just say that I was very disappointed. Let me start off by saying, that I drove over an hour, during rush hour, all the way from Cleburne, Tx and there is no where to sit and eat. Except 4 chairs outside. You cannot wait inside, because they only allow four people at a time inside. This should have been stated and I wouldn’t have not gone during rush hour. With all of this aside, I was not happy with the food. My lamb chops were extra small. Unbelievably tiny! I added a few shrimp to the potato, they were not an issue. Another problem was how salty these potato’s were. I love salt, but it was like they poured a whole bottle of salt. Exaggeration yes, but it was extra salty beyond being healthy for anyone. Between the two drinks that I purchased and the potatoes I spent right at $60.00. The worse thing is that I brought guests with me. And I had to stare at their disappointed face all the way back to Cleburne. I would have given a lower rating, but their drinks are amazing and this was their saving grace. Location ✔️ I like that it wasn’t in the middle of South Dallas so there wasn’t a lot of people. Service ✔️ The gentleman from Milwaukee was very friendly and on another order two days after the Owner was even nicer! I needed my address changed for my delivery and she called Uber to get the order cancelled. Atmosphere ✔️ Very bright, friendly and energetic Food✔️ I got the chicken potato w/o mushrooms and bell peppers w/ crawfish sauce. The blueberry lemonade was a good fit for my lunch. The potato melted in my mouth with so much flavor. So good I ordered another one two days later and added steak. I’m not sure if adding the steak meant less meat this time around but it was only a few pieces of both chicken and steak. For that price point I wld think it wld b more meat and maybe larger cups. We drove 40 minutes to see if this place was any good. And it was and is. A little expensive but its worth it. We bought 2 chicken potatoes and one steak and a watermelon mint lemonade. Never in my life had I tasted a watermelon lemonade mint drink but it was delicious, light and airy. Was 16 oz for 4 dollars and change so a little small compared to a refresher at panda express or panoramic. The chicken potato was loaded with meat and cheese, bell peppers and onions....so good and filling. Roughly 21 dollars a piece and the steak was 23 dollars...totalling 71 and change on a card. We arrived at 1145am and they dont open until noon BUT thank goodness they took the order ahead of opening because it was getting so crowded already.
