Thursday, March 3 my family and I decided to Google a down south southern home cook restaurant. Yo mamas kitchen in Dallas Texas appeared as far as getting directions clueless is held off the side of the highway inside of a gas station the signs are very small to find where the restaurant is you could basically find it with a magnifying glass. After coming in viewing the menu they have a wide range of things as the clerk or the associate mention The majority of the menu they do not have after ordering distasteful the gentleman bragged on his mothers greens (greens cabbage jalapeño pepper mix together) they were soggy over process like baby food the smothered pork chops looked to be delicious from the looks after trying to taste them tough hard to cut like playing tug-of-war the rice watery soupy looking cornbread not thoroughly cooked beans hard like a rock but was told that the beans and the cabbage greens were cooked for two days unbelievable after mention to the cook and the other Clark to get a hold of the owner as we explain to the owner that we were dissatisfied with the food tend to get a little upset not being accommodative to offer a refund or credit off or to even remake the meal poor etiquette and customer service skills and then hats audacity to call other folks as if it was going to be an issue other cars arrive at the facility I wouldn’t recommend for anyone in Dallas or DFW area to even eat there The health department Better Business Bureau secret shoppers should come out and visit the location I give the food and the...
Read more4 Stars for customer service, I went back today because they were so nice the day before when patronizing gas station. I literally just finished a burger basket which was good and inexpensive, maybe $5. I got several things to try so meatloaf plate ($10 maybe)which my Dad ate so can't say, got greens as side but didn't try yet, update later. Potato salad is kept warm so not my preference but still good, I just put it in the fridge. Tried beef tips and a bit chewy and I also got 3 $1.50 chicken sandwiches. Chicken sandwiches are just grilled bread and chicken patty but crispy chicken Andrew buttered toasted bread worth the cheap cost. I wouldn't go picking up Sunday dinner but sides you like but definitely lunch and if you don't want to cook. Gas station attendants rock too, very helpful, courteous and community oriented so a win to stop by.
EDIT: 2 stars because next burger had old tomatoes and I haven't had anything else that was good except warm potato salad. Greens were nothing to rave about and food may be not so freshly made. Other people seemed to be ordering Oxtails one day I believe so curious how they turn out. Beef tips were very chewy before so maybe hit and miss...
