I am just delighted that I happened to be in Damariscotta for work yesterday because I drove by a black cat themed sandwich place and decided to have lunch there, and boy was it DELICIOUS. Immediate green flag was when I asked the woman at the register (I forgot to ask her name, but she was lovely) what she recommended and she put real thought into it. She didn’t even have to upsell me on a drink or a side because I was hooked already with just how friendly she was. I ended up getting the red snapper sandwich and a side of potato salad and neither disappointed. The potato salad had other veggies such as beats and carrots that gave it a really fresh taste and not too heavy. We really enjoyed everything we got and plan on...
Read more3.5/5. I stopped by to grab some lunch, and I grabbed two sandwiches and some soup. The sandwiches were pretty good, really thin crispy bread with sliced meats, cheeses, and veggies within. The soups weren't good at all, and we ended up tossing both the lobster bisque and the kale soup before eating all of it. I think the service wasn't bad, clearly still figuring things out overall, the staff seemed friendly. It's hard to give a good rating on the atmosphere for a roadside stand, I would only stop by here if the weather was great. I'll probably come back when the mood strikes, and I hope things continue to...
