Like Mayo on your pancakes?
Yes, that’s what Grandpa’s gave us. They provided us with mayonnaise in unmarked containers for our pancakes, instead of butter for our to-go order!
From the moment I called in to place my order, I knew there would be problems because the lady on the phone struggled to take the order. Slight language barrier.
When I asked for home fries on the side, she asked if we want them on top of our pancakes smh. And we were REQUIRED to pay over the phone in advance, just so they could place the order.
When we arrived, they were hesitant to give us our order because they spelled the order name wrong (even though I spelled it out over the phone) and we already paid, so the name was on the card we used. We also had to ask for utensils, because they did not initially provide them.
When we asked for extra syrup, they gave us one little pouch. Mind you, we purchased two orders of full stack pancakes (3 each), and they originally gave us one small pouch of syrup for each order. Three small pouches of syrup for two orders of full stack pancakes is just plain disrespectful.
Even worse, the home fries were terrible! I’ve never had hard home fries until now. Way to go, Grandpa smh! 🙃

Read moreSince this place is very close to my house, I order from here very often but as of tonight that will come to an end. 8 out of 10 times I have ordered, the food has been incorrect then to top that off at least 3 times the food wasn’t even cooked and it had to be thrown out as it was NOT edible! My changes aren’t drastic either just asking to remove items shouldn’t be too much to ask for. I have received eggs and bacon that haven’t been throughly cooked and French fries that were soggy and cold. It really saddens me because when the food is correct, it is delicious, but it is not worth the aggravation almost every time I go there. The worst part is that I have complained and I have not been offered any form of compensation or even a free dessert or soda or anything to show that my business means something to them so at this point, I will take my business somewhere else. Tonight, when my food was incorrect for the I don’t know how many times I demanded a refund and was told they cannot do a refund only remake my food Which is not what I wanted but according to them, I had no choice. This is not the way that you treat customers and it surely not the way that you treat customers that come there very...
Read moreI’ve visited this restaurant a few times, and while the service is generally okay and the staff is polite, my most recent experience was deeply disappointing. The owner, who also acts as the manager, handled a situation in a way that showed a complete lack of compassion for loyal customers.
An elderly woman with a disability had breakfast there before attending the Memorial Day parade, leaving her car in the parking lot. Despite knowing she was a customer, the owner called a tow truck and had her car removed. Shockingly, this wasn’t an isolated incident—the same thing happened to another customer who had briefly stepped out to pick up necessary medication.
After towing their cars, the owner put up signs enforcing new parking rules, but the entire situation could have been handled with more kindness and understanding, especially toward regular customers. And to think the place is called Grandpa’s Diner—you’d expect a little more care for older people! This disregard for customers is why I will not be returning, and I hope others take this into consideration before choosing...
