We had realistic expectations going in after reading some reviews and hearing very night and day different experiences.
We had a double date with my wife, her sister and husband. We made reservations online through open table. They checked us in and moved us to our table immediately. No problems with the seating as others had noted in reviews.
The atmosphere was quiet but it was 4:15 in the afternoon so not many people were in there anyway. I could see how it could be loud in there when it fills up but that’s just a part of being in a restaurant where people are talking and having a good time.
Our server was great and came immediately, asked if we wanted drinks and appetizers. We ordered drinks but took a little while to decide what appetizers. She was very patient with us. A few moments later we ordered our meal, little surprised that the meal only had one side, but not a dealbreaker. Our appetizers came quickly! Range Rattlers are a must try, delicious, we also ordered loaded fries which were good, nothing noteworthy for the price, but good. When appetizers came out we started to realize how small the table was for 4 people at a steakhouse. We made it work but we aren’t really large people by any means. It’s definitely more of a 2 person table but we made it work.
When the meal came out, everybody’s food looked great, had to sweep the appetizers off to make any kind of room to be comfortable eating. I had a ribeye, cooked as ordered. Wife had chicken fried chicken that she liked but said another chain in our area’s was better, but not saltgrass’s specialty, right? Sis-n-law New York Strip, cooked as ordered, bro n law ordered the filet medium and when he cut in, the middle was raw-raw, like a big cherry in the middle. Called server over and she agreed and took care of it immediately. Back to the kitchen for a bit. It came back medium rare and he didn’t want to wait again so accepted.
All in all good experience. Happy to have...
Read moreDrove an hour to have dinner at Salt Grass and play at the casino after making a reservation online. We were seated in the bar very close and directly behind a couple seated at the bar despite the many open tables in the main dining area. Asked the hostess if we could sit in one of the 12+ open tables in the dining area and were told no, that the table we were at was in fact part of the main dining area and she has to follow a seating system. So instead of the nice date night dinner atmosphere we hoped for we were in a freezing cold bar with tv’s distracting us and overhearing the patrons at the bar talking loudly across the bar from each other. The steaks were good, but when the bill came the server placed the paper ticket with no booklet directly in front of me and not my boyfriend. The other table directly next to us was seated with casino employees wearing their name tags having a loud and very conversation. It was raining so we asked if we could enter the casino through the attached door and were told no due to lack of security. So we took our drinks and walked outside in the rain to the casino. We were greeted by security asking us to take the drinks back through the rain to the steakhouse. We politely declined and gave them the glasses. We had been looking forward to making the drive and trying this steakhouse for a while, but unfortunately it missed the mark on several counts. Next time we’ll go...

The worst service I have ever had at a SG!
We sat 20 mins before a server came over after supposedly alerting our server Brianna we were waiting. We waited almost another 10 minutes before Brianna showed up after seeing 3 other tables seated , including the one adjoining ours, get service before us.
Never offered water or bread. Had to catch a couple other servers to assist us through a lengthy meal
I did not have my loyalty card but usually in Biloxi I can just give my phone number and get credit for visit. After having to go to bar to track down the server I was told to talk to Macy (pink shirt). She would not even look up my name and phone number to get loyalty credit.
Our original sever would not come back and take our ticket to pay after I complained. We had to flag down another server to pay
*Update
I have since looked on Landrys website where it states a phone number can be used to look up account info if you do not have your card
From looking at the other bad reviews for this SG, I see the Macey I dealt with was the general manager.
Macey - you are a poor representative for this restaurant. I’ve eaten at SGs from MS, LA to many in TX and never had an issue with service much less an issue with not having my card and using my phone number to look up …...
